Arte d'Amato provides beautiful art which is hand drawn and sewn by myself using fabric, thread, ink, and paint. My inspiration is drawn from zen doodling and scenes of Buffalo, NY.
The inspiration for the new business name is my family and my heritage. I grew up in a family that has a vast creative knowledge that dates back generations. Also, my maiden name is D'Amato which means "of Beloved Ones" in Italian. So I added the Arte which means Art.
Currently, processing time right now is 3-4 months.

I had looked at others who did these types of pillows but Pam is able to include photos! Pam was also able to add a hand written note from a gift my friends son had given her on what was his last Christmas . So touching. Pam is so talented and has FABULOUS suggestions. You will also want to ask her about her pocket hug cards. They are so… touching too. Thanks Pam you have made a fabulous pillow that has given my friend comfort during this difficult time.

I would like to show you below, how I create one style of my pieces. All my art has a fabric border & stapled to frame. -

These originate from a photo that I have taken, and a pattern is made by tracing the colors and shades. -

Each piece of the paper pattern is cut out of fabric and sewn down. I decide what pieces need to be fabric. -

Then I add the small details with paint or ink. I usually mix my colors of paint to create the exact shade needed. -

After painting, I place batting on the back and quilt it together to add texture. Last, fabric is added for the frame.
