Never was shipped even though she marked it shipped. Was called rude for filing a claim 2 weeks after paid. Was my first purchase and if this is how this site works it will be my last! So disappointed!
My involvement in jewelry designing started as a hobby. I made jewelry for myself , my mom and my sisters to wear. As we started wearing it, people started asking where we got it. So as a result of the constant asking and want for my jewelry, I decided to open an online store so that friends and family from anywhere in the world could see my jewelry if interested!

Currently we accept Credit/Debit, PayPal, Money Order or a Personal Check (or cash if you are close enough to purchase from me in person!). Payment must be received no later then 5 days of the date of invoice. All Personal Checks must clear before your Item(s) will be shipped. Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, we do, but only if you live in Ohio! The sales tax rate is 6.75%.
All orders will be shipped within 24 hours of your payment clearing the bank . All orders will be shipped via USPS. All orders ship for free unless otherwise specified or discussed.
How will my Jewelry be packaged prior to Shipping?
Every piece comes gift boxed in a Jewelry Box which features my Logo. I am able to add a Gift Card with a message from you at no additional charge if what you are ordering is for someone other than you. Prior to shipping each piece is cleaned, placed in its Jewelry box, and wrapped. I typically ship in Bubble mailers, however larger orders will be shipped in a Flat Rate USPS Priority mail box and may be charged a small fee for special shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
Shades Jewelry is committed to excellent customer service and customer satisfaction. We will gladly make an exchange or credit your account the purchase amount. The item must be returned within 14 days of the shipping date. If one of our pieces breaks from normal wear and tear we will be happy to repair it at no cost up to two repairs. Any repairs after that will be billed as necessary to repair the piece. We do ask that you take the best care possible of your hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry!
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom Orders are always Welcome!! If you have something specific in mind just let me know! Call or email me with your ideas and I can take it from there. You will always be sent a proposal of my ideas for you with a price quote before I start working on your piece. I do require a 50% deposit before I will start work on your final piece. When your piece is finished, I will send you pictures for your approval. I will work with you until you are satisfied with your custom ordered piece.
What if I like a piece but it is the wrong length?
If you like a particular piece but it is the wrong length, contact me and we will work to make the piece fit!
What if I see a piece but I might like it a little different?
If you see a piece you like but would like it a little different (a different color, or maybe something added to it), just ask. All designs are one-of-a-kind, but some can be closely re-created or slightly re-designed. Please contact me with questions.
What Materials do you use in your Jewelry?
I only use the highest quality materials. All Silver, beads & findings, in all of my pieces is Solid Sterling Silver, I never use anything that is plated. I only use Pewter if it is specifically requested. All crystal beads are genuine Swarovski and all Gemstones are genuine. The Lampwork beads that I use are all Artisan Handmade and are properly Kiln annealed for strength and durability. I will note in the description of each piece who created the Lampwork beads.
What size Bracelet, Necklace should I order?
For Bracelets: To determine your size, please measure your wrist with a measuring tape and then add a half an inch. For Necklaces: Measure a piece of string to the length of the piece you are interested in, then simply place it around your neck. You can try this for a Bracelet too. If the Piece is going to be a gift and you are not sure of the size, try a Gift Certificate!
How do I care for my jewelry?
Please read the following and keep it in mind when you are wearing your jewelry:
Try to avoid getting your Jewelry wet. If it does get wet, dry it off immediately. It is NOT recommended that you wear your Jewelry in the shower!
Sterling Silver will tarnish in time. You will receive your piece freshly polished and clean. When your piece begins to tarnish, I recommend that you do not use a Polish on your piece. Polish can sit in the nooks & crannies of the Silver beads. I recommend that you use a Sterling Silver Polishing Cloth.
It is not recommended that you wear your Jewelry while you sleep. During this time your Jewelry can become warped or bent.
Will my Information be shared with anyone other than yourself?
NO!!!! I will NOT share any of your information with anyone!
