The order was well packed & arrived in a timely manner. I am so happy to have this plate to round out my table service. I needed one to complete my set. Thank you!

About

Finding Vintage America

I have always loved vintage items but especially kitchen tools, bowls and linens. I have been selling on the net since the late 1990s, with more than 700 positive feedbacks on the "other" E site and more than 300 here.

With the economy in distress in the last few years, I took a lengthy vacation on Etsy but am now back with vintage goodies galore.

If you have any questions about my items, send me a convo and let's talk!

I like vintage items and have been a long time collector. I like Pyrex, California pottery, vintage linens and quite a few other items. I have been selling vintage on the net since the late 1990s.

Welcome to ShadeTreeVintage. Please feel free to ask any questions you have about the merchandise, shipping or anything else product-related.

I have been a collector of vintage goodies for years and would now like to share what I have and what I have learned with others. I like kitchen items the best but also have linens, costume jewelry, California Pottery and other collectibles.

Shipping
I will acknowledge your purchase and tell you when I will ship it. I ship only within the US for this shop. I use USPS. I ship on weekdays only, usually more than once a week. I use first class, priority or parcel post depending on the size and weight of the item.

I mail several times a week. Shipping is always refunded in the case of overpayment.

If you are purchasing more than one item, shipping can be combined in many cases. Send me a convo before purchasing. Also, should your shipping cost be more than what you were charged by $1 or more, I will refund that to you once the transaction has been settled. Please do not ask me to reduce shipping costs. It is not possible for me to discount these. Thanks!

You should receive your item within a week or so. If you have not received your item within two weeks of my telling you when I mailed it, you will need to let me know. Please do not wait any longer than that to let me know you have not received your item. If you wait longer than this to tell me you did not receive something, there is most likely nothing I can do.

I will send you a tracking number. If this shows as delivered but you do not have the item, you will want to see if someone in your household or a neighbor has the package. If that is not the case, contact your local post office to ask them about this.

Your item will be well packed but may contain recycled packing materials such as packing peanuts, bubble wrap or boxed. It will all be clean and using recycled materials helps the planet and to keep shipping costs down.
Refunds and Exchanges
I have a 14 day return policy. This means that if within 14 days after your purchase, you do not want the item you can return it after you contact me. The item has to be in the original condition as you received it and I refund the price of the item only, not shipping fees. If it arrives damaged, please send a photo. Also keep all packaging materials as these may be needed to settle the insurance claim. Contact me if you have questions about this.
Additional policies and FAQs
What happens if you need a reserve listing?

Reserve listings are created to reserve specific items just for you. An example of this would be when you decide to buy two items and they will be shipped together. This will save you money on postage almost all the time. If a reserve listing is set up for you, it will say that it is for you and will have the price and shipping information but it may not show the item. Don't worry if you can no longer see the original item listings. The reason for this is that these will have been removed from the shop so that no one else can buy them. Purchase your "reserve" listing just as you would anything else. Your items will be packaged and sent to you as quickly as possible.

Tips for using Pyrex -

Your vintage Pyrex can be cleaned safely using a powered product called "Barkeepers Friend." It can be sprinkled on with a bit of water and a sponge to get rid of any metal marks or stains that you have on Pyrex. It will not damage the finish (except do not use it on any areas of Pyrex that might have metal design on the outside - these are less common pieces but some people have them).

NEVER put your Pyrex in the dishwasher. NEVER, EVER. This will destroy your finish completely at some point. (And those that tell you this is okay to do are misinformed). Hand wash your bowls and other items using a regular dishwashing soap. If you do this, chances are that you will be able to use them for a very long time, possibly passing them on to the next generation! Do not wash them in a sink that has utensils or silverware as this is what usually causes flecks in the paint.

You can put Pyrex in the microwave IF if does not have any metal parts or designs on the outside. Never use Pyrex on the stove top (oven is okay on lower temperatures). The basics are not to go from one extreme temperature to another (such as take out of the refrigerator and place into the oven). Do not use these in the broiler.

About color - color monitors and settings vary greatly. There is absolutely no way for me to know what color you are seeing. When I list it, I try to describe it as completely as possible. If you are in need of an exact specific color, maybe vintage is not for you because there can be a lot of variables.
