1 out of 5 starsReceived the item in April after ordering in December! Artist is disabled but I didn't know that before I went to her website. She produced it only after I asked for a full refund after I'd waited patiently for months. I want to return it for a full refund as it is of totally unacceptable quality. The letters (name and medical information) were stamped up and down, of different depths, crooked lines, letters together, hard to read. The artist told me in her last email about how she made it after returning from a therapeutic swim and she had to lie down and rest afterwards. She included a picture of her blood pressure monitor! Her tactic worked: I hesitated to express my true opinion about the crappiness of her work. My husband doesn't like messiness and he will not wear the dog tag. He said that he would wear it if it were redone professionally (with the information clearly stamped in straight lines). He also needs a cord longer than 18", which I had asked for since he is a large man and the artist had agreed to provide that . This was my first purchase from ETSY and it's been a bad experience.

1 out of 5 starsThis order was placed on 12/17/12. I have yet to receive it. My payment was received near that date. I have communicated with her several times. Each time I was told the order would be shipped very soon. I think i have waited long enough. I would like to have either my payment refunded to me or my bracelet. Thank you very much.

Gifts Within...
This venture was born out of extreme disability...when my disabilities became so severe that I found myself bedridden, I lost more than just being able to function...I lost my sense of purpose and direction. The feeling of accomplishing something in a days's efforts and of being useful and necessary is something often taken for granted. I became very blue when mine vanished, leaving me to stare at the ceiling and contemplate my misery.
Thanks to technology and the gift of an iPad on Christmas of 2009, I began experimenting with art again. It had been a very long time since I painted. I collected an array of art applications and bought my first stylus, and I worked up the nerve to try a real painting. I was stunned with what I created! My first digital painting was the Blue Heron. I was elated! So I began the bird series of paintings offered here (I have them professionally printed on high quality art paper).
I then realized I could do many things from bed. I picked up my old jewelry-making hobby once more, and found a calling making awareness and alert jewelry. Shae Eclectique was born...one of the gifts within my disability.
My work is one of a kind, unique, and I specialize in customized design and personalization, intricate hand stamping, and incorporating eclectic elements in my work. If you dream it, let me make it!
I do not charge fees for custom lettering. I am not the fastest shop. My orders are often backed up due to high volume and my own health issues...I work at a slower pace, and I am a perfectionist. You will wait longer with me than most others, but you will find the level of care and craftsmanship so well worth that wait. Please visit my Facebook page to view previous designs and meet several of my repeat clients...see what they have to say :)
I stand behind my work. Please understand that I cannot issue refunds on custom or personalized items; however, I always do everything within my abilities to ensure the results are everything you expect.
If you have any questions about the type of work I do, please ask prior to placing your order. Clear expectations are an important part of the design process for both of us. Together, we can create beautiful things!

Shop policies
Please bear in mind that I am chronically ill, and I make each piece by hand with loving care...there can occasionally be delays in production time. If your order is delayed, you will be given a free shipping upgrade.
If you need a piece by a certain date, please let me know so that I can prioritize it; in most cases I am able to fulfill time sensitive orders if given notice.
You can also check my blog www.DysGirl.com for more information about me, my illnesses, and all things Eclectique:)

*** IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING HIGH VOLUME ***
I am experiencing an extremely high order volume lately. Please bear in mind that each order is completely handmade, and that takes time. I provide total customization with more options (and no character limits or fees for extra wording) at really affordable prices, but the trade off is that it can take a lot longer than companies that do assembly line style limited choice pieces. It is just me, one disabled girl, no employees. I take extreme care with each piece I create for my clients. Also, each letter and symbol is hand struck into the metal, and the finish is hand applied. The outcome is a work of wearable art, designed just for your specific needs.
I do apologize for the delays. If it helps, I can tell you that everyone who has waited for an order so far has told me they love it and think the quality is worth the wait. I hope you will agree when you receive yours.
You will have a one of a kind piece, and I also offer repairs should anything happen. Often the repair is free, occasionally there may be a small fee for materials, but in such cases, you get wholesale cost without any markup.
For the highest level of service, care, artistry and personalization, there can indeed be long waiting periods sometimes.
During high volume times, it can take as long as 90 days, which is not unusual for hand made artisan pieces. During lower volume times, I often can ship within a week. I will post here and on my etsy shopfront at http://www.etsy.com/shop/shaeleigh whenever orders are backed up.
I always send a photo before I ship, so you will definitely know when it goes out. You'll also receive a tracking number and an upgrade to priority shipping free if you've waited longer than two weeks.
I greatly appreciate your trust and patience, and I will get your order finished as soon as possible. I will keep you posted.
Kindly,
Shae

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
Should an item break, I will offer to fix it (if it is repairable) at cost (this means you pay only for parts needed, if Amy, and shipping).
I typically send a photo of the finished piece prior to shipping. At that time, please evaluate carefully for any errors, such as spelling on hand stamped items. It is much easier to correct such things prior to shipping.
This shop is not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail, however if an item is damaged, regardless of the reason, I will repair it for you at base cost (any replacent parts/materials plus cost of shipping). If I am unable to repair the item, I can offer you a replacement at base cost. In order to qualify, you must document the damage (taking a photo of the item and associated packaging is best) and return the damaged item. You may either include SASE or arrange payment for shipping of replacement after I evaluate the item for repair or replacement. At that time, I will let you know the anticipated cost associated with any repair or replacement to be made. In some cases, I might be able to give this estimate based on photos and description.
Should you require replacement or repair of your piece at a later date, I can often do this either at base cost or for a substantial discount. This is decided on a case by case basis, depending on the extent of the repair needed.
Payment
Shipping
I am just one very disabled person, not a 'store' or company. Often, items are received in under two weeks, but please allow 90 days during health flares and busy periods, either of which may occur at any time. I do my best to keep folks posted about status, but understand that my email response time is also slower during times where my medical situation interferes. If you have a time sensitive order, please discuss that prior to your order so I can let you know whether I feel able to meet the timeframe.
Each piece here is hand made by me, and I maintain a high standard for my work. I offer customization at a level and with a variety of choices you will not find elsewhere, especially for reasonable prices. The flip side is that the wait can sometimes be longer than expected.
Shipping is first class unless otherwise requested. You may request any type of shipping (I.e. priority or overnight) and I will create a custom listing for you according to your preferences. Insurance can be added to any item at your request, however I typically only insure items over $100 unless it is requested.
