The art of things that once were... and things that never were.
I adore all things historical and fantastical. From Medieval, Rococo, Regency and Victorian styles to Fantasy, Gothic, Folklore and Fairytale themes, I love the world both as it was and as it wasn't.
My original fantastical and historical illustrations are people and character-centric, depicting fantasy goddesses, fairy tale heroines, 19th-century ladies, and others in between and beyond. I love illustrating fashions, costumes, and personalities. I work with plain paper and pencil first, then paint in Photoshop--a little bit of old-fashioned technology combined with a little bit of new-fangled digital magic.
Another line of my artwork features vintage Victorian pictorial engravings, line art that once illustrated mid-19th-century books, now in the public domain. I remix these period illustrations by digitally hand-colouring them and then pairing them with a few lines of 19th-century poetry, so that the one complements and illuminates the other. I love breathing new life into what are already lovely works of art, and I hope the original artists, engravers and poets would be pleased to see my 21st-century adaptations of their creations.
The digital art prints here in my etsy shop are all handmade: printed by myself with lots of care and attention, using high-quality inks and paper, in order to adorn the walls of people who love history and fantasy as much as I do. ♥

Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved historical fantasies & fantastical histories. She looked innocent by day, but went bump in the night. She made art, read fairytales, kept nightmares, collected dolls, hunted zombies & adored her cats.
♥ Victorian Poetry Prints: prints of vintage 19th-century engravings, digitally hand-painted by me, and combined with quotations from beloved Romantic poets.
♥ Fairy Tale & Fantasy Art Prints: prints of my original hand-drawn and digitally painted fantastical art.
♥ Fashions of Regency England Prints: prints of my original fashion illustrations drawn with reference to 19th-century sources for historical accuracy.
