About ShandisOddities

My secret passion!

Hi there, I am Shandi, at least that is what my friends call me! I am a little crazy when it comes to sewing, or crafting jewelry.

My clothes are made from fabric, findings and notions I dig up all over, so I never know WHAT I am gonna have from one month to the next. That means lots of one of a kind items for you guys out there in buyers-land! My Jewelry also is just as unique and funky. Each piece is a work of art, one of a kind.

Given my health I have been known to stay up all night unable to do anything but sew... it's my therapy and my sanity.. so, take a piece of my sanity home with you! And realize that every stitch, and placed bead is made with love, care, and hopefully, no blood! ( I don't send out anything I bleed on... promise)

My daughter is going to be a little stitch princess as well! She will often sit next to me and "sew"her own little things!

Who is Shandi's Creations.

Shandi's Creations is a home run shop consisting of Jessica, a 34 year old mother, and her daughter, Serenity, a budding doll collector.

Jessica has some college experience with Art, and Sculpting. A transplant all over the USA, she has recently moved to Mississippi, making for plenty of time to sew, and indulge in her passions. Most of those can be seen in her shop. Diagnosed with Lupus in 2011, And Fibromyalgia in 2016, she was a volunteer firefighter for many years before the diagnosis.

Serenity is a running, playing mess-making ball of energy. She loves bright colors, and anything stuffed. She has a great love of blankets, and quilts, and tucks herself into bed with them at night like a Big Girl. She often reminds her Mom, that it's okay, to take things slow and easy, and to just Play. Something that most adults forget. You can bet, many things in this shop, were done in colors picked out by this little spunky child.
