Such an amazing patch, I can't wait to give my dad his tie on my wedding day! Seller had fast communication and I received my product fast!
Say it beautifully...
I love typography, textures, beautiful photos, swashes, et cetera, and it makes me giddy when I can pull all these elements together to create beautiful artwork. I have a degree in graphic design, and I've worked almost exclusively in magazine layout since 2004.
For years I created all sorts of personalized invitations, graduation announcements, Christmas cards, posters, and the like for family, friends and myself. In late 2010, I decided to actively pursue my dream of selling my designs professionally, and opened my shop which also bares my name: Shannah J. Smith. Each item that I offer is very special to me, and thoughtfully designed. I particularly love the personalized "something blue" wedding labels, and the custom quilt labels. It's so rewarding to know these items will be treasured for years to come.
Owner, Designer, Curator
I'm a Georgia girl with a flair for details, and I love to make words come alive with just the right touch — to "say it beautifully." I specialize in typography and printed pieces.
My mom works with me to sew the finished edge on the "something blue" wedding dress labels, personalized tie patches and ring-bearer pillows that are available in my shop.
My sister is currently working on her doctorate in history, but in her spare time helps send out proofs, manage email and keeps us on top of our production timeline.
Customer Experience Assistant
Mrs. Cheryl is a life-long friend and helps with keeping our packaging branded and wrapping all those needle and thread cards.

Frequently asked questions
Will I be able to see a proof before you print and ship my item?
Yes! I email a proof to the email that you have on file with Etsy for all personalized items. These items do not ship without your approval.
If, after one month, I have not received a response to my attempts to contact you, your item will be shipped without your approval. Buyer will be responsible for a reprint and shipping if there is a mistake. If personalization details are incomplete, the order will be refunded and canceled.
Do your tie patches include a tie?
No. This is a 2x2 cotton patch that you attach to a tie that you purchase elsewhere.
May I apply your sew on fabric labels to something besides a quilt, tie or wedding dress?
Absolutely! My sew on patches can be applied to anything that you can put a needle through. I have had customers sew them to blankets, vests, cowboy hats, knitted blankets, robes, clutches, etc.
The Iron On quilt label should not be used on delicate fabrics that cannot handle very high heat.
Will your tie patches fit on a skinny tie?
My tie patches are 2x2 inches, but can be resized to 1.5x1.5 inches to accommodate skinny ties. You must mention in the "notes to seller" at checkout if you need a smaller label to fit a skinny tie.
I don't sew! Do you offer an iron-on version of your wedding dress labels and tie/suit patches?
At this time, I do not offer an iron-on option for my wedding dress and tie/suit labels.
I do ship these items with tips for sewing, plus a needle and matching thread for sewing in on your own. I consider myself to be a novice sewer, but have sewn several in for myself and have been pleased with the results. You may also take your item to a tailor or ask a friend to help you sew in.
I hope to offer an iron-on option at some point, but need to research a material that will be safe for use with delicate fabrics that cannot handle high heat.
My labels are special because they are personalized for each customer so I do not offer a wholesale option, nor do I print hundreds of the same exact label. However, I am happy to work with brides, dress shops, event planners, venues, etc, to create personalized patches for the bride and groom or the entire wedding party.
