About

I create my work to inspire you to see the beauty in yourself and others. Because this makes my heart sing.

My current collection explores the everyday links between opposing forces. Life is both passion and tragedy, for in order to live, one must destroy, and in order to live with courage, one must often risk life itself. I firmly believe that there is a resilience in each of us that shines, that helps us navigate these tough losses with grace and courage. This is a source of beauty in the world. I hope for my work to capture a bit of this, and to remind us all that even in pain there is strength, and in tragedy there is profound dignity.

I create with gold, silver, and stones that I find interesting. The stones I choose are often rare, but just as frequently they are exceedingly common but super cool in shape, color, or cut. I sculpt my pieces in wax or clay, then I cast or fire them for the base form of my creation. I then apply traditional fabrication techniques to finish each piece and give it life.

I grew up in the Rio Grande valley of New Mexico, amidst the confluence of three different cultures. Images from my past, as well as ideas and stories I've collected in my travels, become my subjects and inform my work. I think of myself first as a storyteller, second as a sculptor. I am self-taught.
