My name is Shannon Richardson and I am an artist. I grew up in the woods of Northern Washington and began creating art at a very early age to satisfy my undeniable creative passion and imagination.

I received my BFA from the Pacific NW College of Art, in Portland Oregon in 2002, after studying classical techniques of the old masters in Italy for my Junior Year.

I quickly entered the gallery world and enjoyed showing professionally across the country for the last 20 years. Most recently completing a 9 month fellowship at the Aspen Art Museum, CO. I moved to a beautiful bucolic town called Paonia, on the western slope of the Colorado Rockies in 2015 with my wonderful husband and partner. We opened up a working studio/gallery in downtown called Second Story Studios above the Blue Sage Center for the Arts.

I had a solo show in February of 2020 in Telluride at the HQ gallery consisting of over 60 original works of art. Returning to Paonia in preparation to reopen our studio for the busy season.

Due to Corona we decided to take the year in a new direction and focused our attention on selling exclusively on Etsy. As an Etsy artist and seller we have been thrilled with the results and our ability to reach a larger audience and without the large commission taken from traditional galleries we were able to lower our prices.

We have used this time to develop a wide range of products to offer our wonderful and growing collector base and am thrilled to offer these to you here, exclusively in our Etsy shop. We began making molds of original vintage frames, which we then cast in resin and hand paint, along with note cards, prints and a variety of original oil paintings.

This year has certainly brought challenges to us and most of you, but we found a new and exciting way to connect and share my work with the world.
