My boyfriend is a quadriplegic, completely paralyzed from the chest-down. He now has a tablet for the first time ever and this was the perfect stylus for him. This is the only one I found that is a straight stick option WITHOUT the u-shaped mouth piece. Im grateful to have found it but its a bit pricey for the quality. I basically just paid for the convenience and availability because nowhere else offers a straight stylus. Overall, it’s working out for us so far.

My friend is paralyzed from the neck down, and has very limited movement of his left arm. I bought the flex stylus and attached this to the tip. I then tucked it in to his wrist brace. It is the only thing we have found so far that allows him to be able to use his phone. I got this idea from another reviewer. The seller was so helpful when I asked him questions. I’m so glad my friend is able to perform something like using his phone more independently. The look on his face made me so happy, I could cry. Thank you for all you do, Ivan.

My only problem is that, because my scoliosis causes my head to tilt severely to my left, the stylus turns within its clamps when I use the number pad on my computer to move the mouse pointer. My husband contacted Shapedad, who modified the stylus so that it screws into the mount. I'm absolutely delighted with both the product and the service! Excellent product!
Special needs solutions, since 2010
It's 2010, a turning point in my life after 20yrs in IT...
"Then the iPad came along, and my kids love drawing, but we found the styli available not, shall we say, elegant enough. They were mostly made of rubber or foam.
"So we started making our own, and at the same time I discovered Etsy." This American web venture that sells a very wide range of well-made products created by amateur, semi-professional and professional craftspeople.
"It was easy to set up a shop in Etsy, a nice low-profile platform, and I put some things in there and they just took off."
All the manufacturing is done at home. The kids (now fourteen and seventeen) suggest things and test, Ivo's wife machines the little sleeves of conductive material, and Ivo designs and develops the hard materials.
Soon after launching the shop, people with special needs were taking them apart and attaching them to their headsets, mouse-sticks and other pointing devices and using them with standard iPads.
An now we enable people with various mobility/disability issues on a daily basis to use tablets and smartphones the same as anyone else!
