Welcome to my shop. Saving old books destined for the trash and making something beautiful from them is my goal. Book folding creates a sculpture that will stop people in their tracks.....

My first book sculptures were made as gifts for family and friends.

Each finished book sculpture told it's own story. Paper was added inside of both front and back covers...complimenting the book color and the sculptured image. I then added ribbon, twine, and bows...with occasional paper or silk flowers. Some books were even painted and new lettering added to the spine.

It brought me such joy when sharing my work. I was amazed at their response.

Thus, the name of my shop...Sharing Joy Book Art. I put the same effort into the books you see in my shop. Each book is special - Each book tells a story.

Weather for yourself or someone else, Book art as a gift often requires a subtle custom change to a current item, or new custom made book just for your purpose. If you have questions or additional needs, we can talk about this.
