About

Modern Jewelry with a Modern Conscience - Edgy Moissanite engagement rings and recycled gold jewelry using ethical diamonds and sapphires

I create jewelry that is unique in its understatement—clean and simple, yet crafted to make you feel powerful and invincible.

Each piece is made by me, one at a time in a studio that is practically my second home.
I share a sun-drenched studio space with two other independent jewelry designers in downtown San Francisco. We've carved out a harmonious space in the midst of the city hustle and bustle. Each of us has created a unique vision for our own businesses and we delight in each others' successes. It wasn't easy finding a space in the middle of a city that would let us have the necessary tools for metalsmithing - torches, propane and oxygen tanks - not to mention all of that noise we make (hammering and polishing are loud endeavors). We lucked into a space in one of the last jewelers buildings in San Francisco and it is inspiring to be surrounded by so many others in my industry. I keep a selection of my jewelry on hand and I love having studio visitors (message me to make an appointment.)

I am a proud member of SF Made (sfmade.org) and a founding member of Bay Area Made (bayareamade.us)

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I accept most reasonable requests to customize existing work - chain lengthening and shortening (longer chains=higher price, just FYI), a change to the finish on a piece, a change to the color of the stone, etc.

Custom work is not usually the cost-effective route towards making jewelry for you, but it can be super rewarding! Keep in mind that requests to source a special stone or upgrade an existing product to solid gold will naturally result in an increase in the price.

I don't work with gold fill or gold plate. Why not? The gold layers on these products tends to wear off over time and require maintenance to keep the gold finish. Solid gold on the other hand is, well, solid. Consider the cost over the lifetime of your jewelry.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Each item comes in a lovely paper box and comes wrapped either with a silk ribbon (small boxes) or tied in a gorgeous fabric wrap (larger boxes).

Sizing details

Ring sizes are listed in American sizes, but can be easily converted to UK, Australian and European sizes.

Many of my rings can be resized after purchase if the fit isn't quite right. A few cannot. If you have any uncertainty about the size that you would like to order, please contact me in advance and I can help you. In the event that a ring size isn't right, I recommend mailing the rings back to me for resizing. If you are in the EU or Australia and don't want to incur outrageous shipping charges for a resize, please take the rings to a reputable jeweler, but, and this is a big one, put them in touch with me prior to sizing so that we can go over any concerns they might have.

Wholesale availability

Are you a store, boutique, major retailer, minor retailer or gallery interested in carrying my work? You are in luck! I sell over on Etsy Wholesale. Meet me over there!

Care instructions

Jewelry is made to last...but you'll need to take care of it. Chlorine (from pools and hot tubs) can be corrosive to some precious metals. Hot springs (of the sulfurous variety) can turn silver black. washing your hands and applying lotion can make jewelry appear dull over time. Exercising (yes, even yoga) can wear on jewelry in ways that you may not have thought of. Care for your jewelry so that you can enjoy it for years to come.
