The Oddball: Lawyer, Accountant, Kindy Teacher and Artist

I actually started my shop after I was cleaning out my grandparents' old house. I saw a realistic lead pencil drawing of a church in Willunga ( a rural area in Australia where my family used to have a farm).

I admired the picture and my Aunt suggested I should keep it.

On closer inspection, I discovered that the artist was me! I had drawn it about 12 years ago, and then promptly forgot about it!!!

I was rather surprised. It made me see my art in a new light.

Contemporaneously with this discovery, my position as a teacher changed from full time to being only 2 days per week. I seized the opportunity to rekindle my passion for visual arts, and I created my "SheerJoy" store onEtsy.

The work that I am selling on Etsy is very different from the original lead pencil church picture. It reflects the joyous mood that I have been in since I began painting again. I hope you like it!
