Hi, my name is Sherail Pollard, owner and designer of “Sherail P” Boutique House based out of Broward, FL.
My love for sewing started when I was in 10th grade in High School in Home Economics class. I remember it like it was yesterday. My first project was a basic mini skirt, made out of rolling dice pattern fabric. By my senior year, I was extremely confident in my skills. I was so confident, that I decided to construct my own prom dress. Not only did I surprise my mom, but I even surprised myself.
In October 2006 I decided to attend college for Fashion Design and Merchandising. Doing this journey it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. I had many obstacles that came my way, but regardless I was determined to graduate. In May 2012, I graduated from International Academy Design & Technology with a Bachelor Degree. It wasn't easy and it even took longer than I expected but I never gave up.
In 2010 I designed and constructed a collection for Passion For a Fashion Show in Orlando, Florida. The following year I designed and constructed a collection for a Flashback Fashion Show that was inspired by the 1920’s for children and women apparel. In 2012 my women’s collection was featured in Orlando Fashion Week.
My drive comes from my life experiences and as a designer, I express my thoughts and views using fashion as my mouthpiece. My designs are inspired by anything and everything; music, street scene, magazines, art, movies, cultures, fabrics, and history. I love plaid patterned fabric, fabric textures and exquisite details. Designing new garments is extremely exciting to me! There is something magical about putting the fabric together, fine tuning details and marveling at the finish product. My specialty is dresses particularly formal wear. This includes but not limited to cocktails dresses, prom dress, and wedding gowns.
I am looking forward to expanding my business opportunity in boutiques, and more fashion shows. Regardless if I am designing women's and children's apparel, sport wear, casual wear, or formal wear, I plan to give my clients a unique style, and admirable quality garments.
