I really feel good about being able to make body products with nourishing natural ingredients. I first got into making lip balms after my son went through chemotherapy and nothing helped heal his chapped lips so I started making my own lip balm.
Most lip balm, chapstick etc. even the so-called "natural" ones have alcohol in them, so you have to keep buying their product- or flavor that keeps you licking, thus drying, your lips. Great for their company, but not their customers.
I also really like ( not always good at but ..) drawing, painting, papermaking, felting, sewing, music, gardening and generally being outdoors since Michigan summers seem to be our shortest season.
My son is,really is the one that got me into art again. When you think about it, arts and crafts aren’t just for kids! We learned to not take life forgranted when he was diagnosed with a rare cancer at age 12.and now in remission! He has found his talent in art, thanks to a great art teacher that saw his potential.
We try to give back just a bit because we have been given so much.
