As many items are made to order, please allow up to 14 days for painting and posting. Most ready made items will be posted out within 2-3 business days
Stickers and low value items are sent standard post with no tracking, you may upgrade to tracked delivery if wanted. All other parcels are sent tracked as this gives peace of mind to both myself and customers. Tracking numbers will be added to the dispatch notification so you can keep an eye on delivery expectations. Most parcels are sent via Royal Mail. In the U.K. they will usually be sent 2nd class signed for which should be delivered within 3 working days. International parcels are also sent via Royal Mail and should be delivered within 10-14working days (although please allow for possible delays at customs). I may occasionally use a courier service for larger orders or ones that require an express delivery.

Shinycraft is not responsible for any extra charges incurred at customs on international orders, it is the buyers responsibility to pay these charges. Any delays due to customs or deliveries having to be rescheduled is not the responsibility of Shinycraft.

Custom orders are welcome at Shinycraft, however please note that no work will be started until payment has been completed. As these often require extra designing and research, please be aware that prices may be slightly higher than on ready to post items. Photographs will be sent to customers so that any issues may be addressed before posting.

This privacy policy describes how and when I collect, use and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Facebook, Etsy, Instagram, or their related sites and services.

This privacy policy does not apply to the practises of third parties that I do not own or control, you can reference the Individual privacy policies of the site you are contacting me via to learn more about its own privacy practises.

Personal Information I collect

To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information such as;
Your name - to enable me to identify the order
Postal address - so I can arrange delivery of your order
Email address - to enable me to process payment of your order via PayPal when you order via Facebook or Instagram (please note, I do not have access to, nor will I ever ask for, debit/credit card numbers from you. All payments are processed through PayPal who do not disclose this information to myself). I may contact you via email through Etsy if you are not replying to my messages through Etsy conversations.
Details of the product you are ordering
You may also provide me with extra information necessary to the completion of the order, such as descriptions of the recipients or any details to be added to the order. Photographs can be sent to me at the discretion of the customer when it is necessary to get personal details correct (eg. for orders of my wedding portrait glasses) but will never be used for any other reason than to create the order and I will not publish them anywhere.
Occasionally when purchases are made by card at craft fairs I use an izettle card machine to process the transaction. No card details are passed to me and I have no access to these, all payment data is held by izettle.

Why I need your information and how I use it

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use and share your personal information, including:
as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or provide customer support.
When you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may remove at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list.
If necessary, to comply with a legal obligation or court order in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining your information about your purchase if required by tax law
As necessary, for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights of interests such as, providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest to improve my services.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Your personal information is important to me and my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, that are only necessary for me to complete your order with me.

Facebook - any information passed to me via Facebook messaging services is accessible by me, you and Facebook
Instagram - any information passed to me via Instagram messages is accessible by me, you and Instagram
Etsy - I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my service and to comply with my obligations under both the Etsy seller policy and Etsy terms of use.
Service providers - I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these services, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services. These are; 1) Royal Mail - who will be provided with your name, address and contents of the parcel for security reasons and 2) Occasionally I will use a trusted courier company for larger deliveries, who will be provided with your name, address and contents of the parcel. They may request a telephone number or email address in case of delivery problems, but you may decline to give this information if you so wish.
Compliance with laws - I may collect, use, retain and share your information if I have in good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to a) respond to legal process or government requests, b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies, c) prevent, investigate and address fraud and other illegal activity, security or technical issues, d) protect the rights, property and safety of customers and others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my privacy policy. However I may be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce my agreement. I do not keep your personal information on a computer or spreadsheet. All information is held securely, inline with current legislation, and is used to fulfil your order and for book keeping/tax return purposes only. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years

Transfers of personal information outside of the EU

I may store and process your information through 3rd party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these apply generally, certain rights only apply in certain limited cases. These are:
Access - You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below
Change, restrict, delete - You may also have the rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Apart from in exceptional circumstances (when I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object - You can object to 1) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests.2) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your consent to receive them. In such cases I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue to use that information or it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain - if you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have) you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
