5 out of 5 starsNicely made big yoga bag. I bought it to pack a three legged stool in to pack for a trip. Maybe later for yoga. It’s wide, so there’d be no struggle putting a yoga mat in, and the design is beautiful so the other yogis and yoginis will like it too.

5 out of 5 starsThis bag is the best! It's pretty big; I usually just pack my rug and a pair of shorts but could easily fit much more. The inside zipper pouch is perfect for small items. I keep a few essential oil rollers but could just as well be used for small valuables like a phone and car keys. Shipped in a reasonable time frame and the seller responded to messages quickly. I would definitely purchase from her again!

5 out of 5 starsI received this bag a week after I ordered it. I got the olive version, which is a lovely color. The bag appears to be made out of really high quality materials and sturdily constructed. It fits my Manduka Pro as advertised (It's been so hard to find a bag that fits that 71" by 26" monster!). You can't squeeze much more in after the Pro, maybe a mat towel/face towel but not a water bottle or props which is fine with me! The only thing I was slightly disappointed with is I thought the trim would be on both ends of the bag, like the other mat bags I was looking at in this store, but it's only on one end. That's how the pink version is pictured, so I should have known better, that's on me. Also as a heads up, this burlap is scratchy. Carrying my bag to class in the summer in a tank top might lead to some itchy arms. Very pleased!

Creating something unique and beautiful with upcycled materials
As a full-time yoga teacher, it seemed natural for me to bring my sense of awareness to create an eco-friendly collection of items. Shivam Creations was launched with the aim to use, and wherever possible, upcycle, natural fabrics and beautiful vintage sari trims to create unique and functional goods.
The inspiration came from my closet, where a bunch of Indian dresses and saris were just boxed up because of little use in the U.S. The fabrics have such intricate print and handiwork, and it didn't seem right to toss them out. Despite having no background in stitching ( my mom used to complete my school needlework projects!) I bought myself a basic Singer sewing machine and started experimenting. The first few bags were a success at a local craft fair, and everything since then has just been organic growth.
Today, I have expanded the brand to include organic lavender eye pillows for relaxation, handspun cotton blend totes and clutches, and screen printed towels and napkins.
I design each and every piece myself, handle all the promotions and marketing, as well as product photography. For stitching help, I now use local seamstresses who are trying to support their families.
