Thank you for taking the time to visit the Hearts & Anchors Shop! Your support and kind words make it possible for me to continue designing and hand-printing my letterpress paper creations.

I want to make sure that each transaction indeed leads to a most content customer, so if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase please feel free let me know via a conversation so we can work it out. Likewise, if you have friendly suggestions or helpful comments, I'd love to hear them!

I truly hope you enjoy your Hearts & Anchors purchase! Each card is designed, hand-printed and packaged with care by yours truly so that I can ensure my customers receive a quality product of which I am proud. That being said, if you believe your item is defective in any way, you may return it within 14 days of purchase. Once Hearts & Anchors has received the returned item and it is confirmed to be defective (but not further damaged by the purchaser), your payment will be refunded less shipping costs via the same method of payment in which the purchase was made.

The preferred method of payment is PayPal (simple for you and simple for me, yeargh).

However, if you absolutely must pay via personal check or money order, please make it payable to "Hearts & Anchors." Do take note that items purchased via check or money order will not be shipped until payment has cleared.


Hearts & Anchors greatly appreciates prompt payments sent within 48 hours of purchase. If I have not received your PayPal payment (or contact from you regarding that date that your check/money order was sent) within 72 hours your purchase will be void, the item(s) will be re-listed and appropriate feedback will be left accordingly. Of course, if you know ahead of time that your payment may be delayed, please contact me PRIOR to making your purchase and I will make an effort to accommodate your request.

Your purchase(s) will be shipped within 72 hours of receipt of payment via USPS First Class mail. I will send you a confirmation upon shipment of your package. If you cannot accept USPS packages or require another shipping method, please alert me to this during the Check-Out process so that I can accommodate you!


Hearts & Anchors reuses packaging materials for shipping (boxes, cardboard envelopes, bubble wrap, etc.) whenever possible in keeping with efforts to be mindful of the environment. If you require only new packaging materials, please let me know during the Check-Out process.
Additional policies and FAQs

Hearts & Anchors makes every effort to be gentle on the environment. Cards are proudly printed on either 100% recovered cotton rag, found vintage paper/cardstock or 100% post-consumer recycled chip board. Envelopes contain recycled content that ranges from 30%-100% post-consumer waste or are often hand-made from found vintage paper. Sarah is very excited to finally have found biodegradable packaging for her cards, so she is steadily phasing out her current supply of traditional polypropylene bags in favor of planet-friendly polyactide bags (derived from the lactic acid of corn). As of September 2008, Sarah prints out of a completely solar-powered studio space.
