EMBROIDERY HOOP DREAMS

HOOPLA was born in lovely little Portland, Oregon. Inspired by quiet, fanciful, & hilarious moments, everything in nature, and the endless possibilities of a blank piece of canvas, HOOPLA is any number of things immortalized on fabric with thread and a needle. From dogs and cats to Drake and babies, it's all happening!

Each piece is completed by hand, by me from start to finish. Embroidery looks simple and elegant, but a lot of work goes into placing each tiny stitch! Ya gotta have a ton of patience. Some pieces take one or two hours at most, while some projects may take days to finish. I'm into both. I love the entire process of creating each piece- the spark of an idea I can picture on fabric, threading the needle with a bright strand of color, the POP as the needle comes through the fabric, the picture that appears like magic as I work. My brain never rests!

This type of textile art is an excellent way to add something sweet to any space. Embroidery makes for great gifts that pals old and young alike can enjoy.
