Around 1989, Carla, a mother of four Mexican-Dutch sons, started to present her co-created Mexican handicrafts in the Netherlands. Along the years creative collabs of her social enterprise expanded to Guatemala and Peru.
Carla's initial goal always remained the same:
"Empowering native Artesanos in Latin America to invest in their families and villages."
She co-creates handicrafts with several native Artesanos in Latin America by sharing designs and ideas. Not only does Carla uphold a fair and sustainable relationship with all of them, she also stays in close contact with their families.
