Geometric inspired jewelry; handcrafted from brass, semiprecious stones, and other organic materials.

Hello,

My name is Martha, thank you for taking the time to look at my pretty little things. I would like to take this opportunity to share some things with you about myself and about my brand, MAJ. It was a nickname given to be by a former co-worker and stuck. MAJ is pronounced like the name Madge. When I first started making jewelry in high school, almost every project I made was a gift to my mom. She was my biggest fan, always encouraged me, and my inspiration. She wore every piece with pride. She was a beautiful woman from Rosario, Argentina. All of my pieces are named after Latina women to celebrate her, and my Argentine heritage. I continue to make jewelry because of her, even though she is no longer with me.

My jewelry is handcrafted in my studio in Gardnerville, Nevada, with my own two hands. All of my jewelry is made with raw brass. I use all semi-precious stones; they add a very raw, organic feel to my jewelry. I also use various woods, shells and organic material.

Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your new jewelry will be sent to you in a plastic bag for protection from the elements. That package is placed in a hand stamped muslin bag that can be reused for travel and storage. All items are mailed in a padded envelope.

I try to keep the packaging to a minimum and use only what is necessary. Which why items are not shipped inside a box or why you will not find a receipt. If you would like a receipt please say so in the notes and I will include one.

Keeping my packaging to a minimum keeps my prices down. It also keeps the shipping costs down for you. And best of all, it is better for our planet.

Those paper shreds you see...all reused from other packages I receive. ;)

Care instructions

All of my jewelry is made with raw brass, I absolutely love the way it shines. And, although tarnishing is inevitable, you can wipe it away with a baking soda and water solution.
