About

It all started with Marley

It all started with Marley....my sweet, handsome, 4-legged "grandpup" and the first greyhound I ever met. He completely stole my heart and as Grandma I, of course, wanted to buy him beautiful, fun martingale and tag collars to wear! At that time, they were hard to find, so I decided to make him one. I spent many months finding the strongest, softest webbing; the best hardware, the strongest threads, and the most fun designs for my sweet boy. Collars for Marley lead to collars for Marley's friends, and then collars for his friend's friends! Now there are beautiful greyhounds as well as almost every other breed of dog wearing ShopMollyd collars on every continent except Antarctica!!
I'm obsessed with searching out high quality, unique, fun fabrics for our furry friends. I even bought fabric while on a cruise vacation to Alaska!! One of those ended up on an Irish Wolfhound with a 24 inch neck! My husband thought I had started making belts!!
I have been sewing and creating all my life. After retiring from 22 years of teaching, we moved to the beautiful coast of Oregon. Now, most of my collars and profits go to the greyhound adoption groups (as well as other breed adoption groups) and to supporting the rescue of the Spanish Galgos. Although I specialize in martingale and tag collars for sighthounds, I have the privilege of having tiny Chihuahua clients all the way to Great Danes and Mastiff customers!
I love finding and making something really unique, because in the end, I truly believe that a special collar isn't just to attach a lead to. It says, "I'm Special"..."I was chosen"..."Someone loves me".
