About

Nerding out is a daily thing.

Nerdtastic started while working on projects for my DIY wedding. Between cufflinks, center pieces and necklaces, I was up to my ears in modge podge. Putting together all my geeky odds and ends, we could only describe our wedding as "nerdtastic". I loved how happy it made us and our guests... so I decided to put Nerdtastic into place: Geeky creations for you to enjoy as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Over the past three years, Nerdtastic has evolved from making items with images and glass bezels to what it is now: mixed metal work (mostly metal stamping), charm bracelets, coasters, and lip balm. The products are always evolving as I try to keep things new and interesting for you.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 30 days of delivery
Request a cancellation within: 24 hours of purchase
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

REFUND - Damaged Upon Receipt:
I try to package my items well when they are sent out; however, things do happen. If you find that the item is damaged:
-Provide us with a photograph of the damanged item and packaging so we can file a USPS claim
-We will then either replace your item or refund/store credit in the case of a one of a kind piece.
-If there is damage, you must contact me within 7 days of receiving your package for it to be considered for this policy.

REFUND - Lost in Mail:
If your package does not arrive, please let us know. We will start a postal investigation and we will either replace your item or refund your costs.
US Mail - Items are not considered lost until 20 days.
International Mail - Items are not considered lost until 45 days; however, International Mail can take 2-6 weeks for delivery. We will refund or mail a new item to you at the 30 day mark, however. Before an item is considered lost, we recommend contacting your customs office or local post to see if your package is being held. *We are not responsible for customs or import taxes.*

REFUND - Invalid Address or Package Refused:
If for some reason your package is returned to me due to a bad address, I will refund you the cost of the item minus shipping. If you would like me to resend, please contact me and we can discuss invoicing for postage.

REFUND - Shop Owner's Error:
If for some reason you find that the item sent was not as described, please let me know. I will be glad to work with you to find an acceptable solution based on your scenario which may include a product replacement, shop credit or refund.

REFUND - Buyer's Remorse:
If you find that you simply do not like an item you purchased, you will need to return the item to me within 14 days of receiving the item. Once I receive the returned item in new, unused condition, I will refund the item cost only. Custom items cannot be returned unless it is shop owner error.
*You are responsible for return shipping.
*When purchasing at conventions and craft shows, this policy does not apply since you can inspect the item upon purchase.
Payment
Cancellation: We only accept cancelations within 24 hours of purchase. Any custom order deposits made are non-refundable.
Shipping
SHIPPING DAYS - I work on and ship items during normal business days MONDAY - FRIDAY. (Weekends do not count as business days when calculating processing/creation times.)

SHIPPING METHODS -
- For small items like necklaces, I ship items through USPS First Class Mail and offer the option for priority mail upgrades.
- For larger items like coasters, I will ship items via USPS Priority Mail.
- International orders use First Class International Mail; however, I will offer an upgrade option for international priority shipping.

Please Note for International: Tracking numbers do not always track to your door. Once the package is given to the post office, it is up to the post of both countries to scan packages and it is out of my control. Packages can take 2-6 weeks to arrive.

SHIPPING OVERAGES - If I find that the price you paid on shipping & handling is too great, I will refund you the shipping overage. (Prices are quoted to try and reflect the cost of the longest distance a box might travel.)

**Please keep in mind that international orders may be subject to customs taxes. We are not responsible for paying these. It is illegal for me to mark an item as a gift so I must mark it as merchandise upon shipment.**

**Purchasing expedited shipping upgrades your first class mailing for smaller items to USPS Priority. This does not mean processing/creating time is expedited as well.

Custom and personalized orders

I'd be glad to work with you on a custom order that fits your interests and budget. Your project doesn't have to be nerdy! I can stamp any phrase and have hundreds of charms to choose from. Coasters can be created with any design that you provide.

Custom designs that require new graphic design work or purchasing of supplies I don't normally carry may take an extra 1-2 weeks on the processing time. I also will charge a custom fee based on the time it takes to design new art work. (At minimum $5)

Custom orders must be paid for in advance of work. The design will be sent to you for approval.

Buyers Remorse: What if I Just don't like my item?

Hey, we all buy things that we end up not liking because we thought it looked different in the picture. That's the way of the world on the Internet. Been there, done that. If you find this is the case, you will need to return the item to me within 14 days (postmark) of receiving the item. Once I receive the returned item, I will refund the item cost only as long as the item is returned in new, unused condition. Custom items cannot be returned unless it is shop owner error.

Care instructions

Jewelry
To preserve the life of your jewelry, it is recommended to take the following steps in it’s care:

Remove jewelry before sleeping or heavy physical activity. Some harsh chemicals (like chlorine in pools) and environments may compromise the integrity of your jewelry.

Avoid wearing it in water. This is especially recommended with any items that have graphic prints, painting or plastic charms.

Copper (and some silver toned jewelry) jewelry will tarnish over time. Storing it in a sealed bag will help slow this process. A polishing rag can be used to renew the shine and remove tarnish.

If you would like to review an item in my shop, that's fantastic! Thank you for your consideration. You will need to purchase an item from my shop and leave me a note with your review site details. I will then provide you with a coupon code for your followers. If a designated number of them purchase from my shop, I will refund you your purchase price.
