PROPERgoods is a collection of handmade Himmeli home décor, air plants & accessories based in Philadelphia, PA.

Himmeli, traditionally a Finnish Holiday decoration, are intricate geometric ornaments, mobiles & planters that are hand made out of brass tube and for a modern twist are typically paired with air plants to create stylish home décor. To be able to combine my passion for Himmeli & plants, I really enjoy helping customers choose the perfect pairing and educating them on the tips and tricks of air plant care at my in person markets.

Fall & Winter bring the return of Dried Floral Hoop Wreaths that are the perfect addition to your décor for the cooler seasons. Made off of a brass hoop base and adorned with moss and locally sourced dried florals & feathers, the hoop wreaths compliment the Himmeli perfectly.

New for 2020 are 2 layer fabric Face Masks made of 100% cotton exterior, non-woven polypropylene lining with a pocket for a filter built in. The Fabric Face Masks come in Adult, Teen & Kids sizes in a wide variety of fabric patterns and they have paracord and a cord lock for an adjustable, secure fit.


Himmeli History
The word Himmeli is derived from the Germanic word Himmel and the Old Norse word Himinn, both meaning Sky or Heaven.

Himmeli are a traditional Finnish holiday decoration and originally made from straw after the harvest.

Intricate geometric Himmeli mobiles are hung over the table during the Holiday season through Midsummer to ensure prosperous crops the following year. The larger and more elaborate the Himmeli, the more abundant the next years’ crop.
