Returns and exchanges
All sales are final. Items are sold as is. Orders may not be cancelled, exchanged or returned. Please review your selection(s) prior to completing your purchase. Generally there are no refunds, returns or exchanges on non-defective items (including clothing etc that is the wrong size--we provide measurements in our item descriptions. Please double check prior to ordering and always ask us if you have a question!)

If there are any issues with the delivery of your order please let us know. We aim to be fair and flexible when navigating unfortunate incidents such as breakage. If your order arrives damaged you must report it to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can file an insurance claim. We cannot guarantee reparations past the 48 hour "notice of damage" window. We will request you provide photos of the damages, mailing box and shipping label. Please see our Shipping policies for more information.
All payments must be made prior to shipping. We accept PayPal, Etsy Gift cards, and all major credit cards.
Orders ship multiple times a week and as quickly as possible. Please let us know if you're on a tight deadline or your order is time sensitive. If there is any issue with your item or delivery please send us a message and we will do everything possible to rectify it in a timely manner.

Packages are sent via First Class or Parcel Select USPS. Shipping upgrades for Priority 1-3 Day Mail are available during checkout. If it's less expensive to ship an item Priority (which is sometimes is!) we will upgrade your shipping status automatically for no extra charge. Any shipping and handling overages exceeding $3 will be refunded to the buyer. If you need expedited shipping for your purchase let us know and we can provide an updated estimate. Please let us know if you'd like to purchase additional shipping insurance for your order. PLEASE double check the address you've submitted for shipping. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items or if you provided an incorrect or inaccurate shipping address.

Items are always packed very carefully and securely. We are fanatical about keeping your treasure safe during transit. If your order arrives damaged please contact us ASAP with photos of the packaging and damage. If your item shipped Priority Mail (insured up to $50 for free) we will promptly file a claim with USPS and you will be refunded. Refunds can not be given without photo evidence of the box and item damage. Items not shipped via Priority Mail will be handled on a case by case basis.

We will ship internationally. If you are interested please contact us with the item(s) you'd like to purchase and we will provide an updating shipping estimate. Unfortunately we are restricted in terms of tracking and insuring international packages. If you place an international order please be aware that once the package has been cleared as sent by the USPS we are no longer responsible for any lost/stolen/or damaged items. We do not refund lost/stolen/or damaged international orders.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are sold "AS IS." Etsy vintage items are 20+ years old. It should be understood that there are at times mild wear in vintage merchandise. It's the nature and charm of shopping vintage! We try our best to include information regarding imperfections or flaws in our vintage inventory via photos, descriptions and price breaks. Refunds are not issued in cases of vintage wear. Items are locally sourced by our crew at The Violet Fox. We indicate in the description if an item isn't vintage but is handmade or in a vintage or retro style. Handmade items and curated sets are done by us in-house.

Clothing measurements are provided. The measurements are taken when the garment is laid out flat. We do not accept returns on garments that don't fit. Please double check measurements before ordering and always let us know if you have a question or need help clarifying a size.
