About

My stumble into signage!

Fifteen years ago I was a stay at home mom and was working part time in a custom frame & gift shop. I did the store and window displays and noticed that small signs were popular gifts. Since I've always enjoyed crafting I thought why not try to make a few signs of my own?

I discovered that I enjoyed it so much that years later now I've made thousands of signs. My first attempts were basic shelf sitter styled blocks and over time my style has evolved into a more refined and elegant look. I will on occasion make shelf sitters but I have found that I mostly enjoy making shabby styled personalized custom signs. To get that distinctive vintage dimensional look I use several layers of paint on each sign by using a multi step process.

Becoming an Etsy seller was one of the best things that I've done. I've met so many wonderful people that I wouldn't have had the pleasure to meet if I never opened shop here....from brides and wedding planners to other shop owners, bloggers, magazine editors and photographers to my many wonderful customers!! When I opened my Etsy shop I thought it would be fun to give it a try and see where it took me. I never would have dreamed that signs that I have painted would one day be hanging all over the world!

It's funny how taking small steps and trying something new on a whim can really change one's life so drastically! I stumbled by chance into sign making and haven't regretted it for a moment.
