5 out of 5 starsI love this ring! I lost my dog, Nelson last March. I absolutely fell in love with this ring with paw print and angel wings! I paired it with a ring that I got previously with his name on it! I love it! It was exactly how I pictured it! Such a great memorial to him that I get to wear every day! Thank you so much!

5 out of 5 starsLovely necklace! It's lightweight but large enough to be noticed. I haven't taken it off since I received it several weeks ago. It shipped on time, easy shop to deal with, provided notices of when it was shipping/shipped.

In August of 2012 I moved into my first ever studio away from home. It is located in historic downtown Olympia, WA.
-
My studio is full of art from several of my friends. Being surrounded by art keeps my inspiration flowing.
-
Some girls collect shoes, I collect tools.
-
I translate the images I see in nature and the urban core into wearable metal art.
-
It all started with a pair of earrings. I have come a long way, baby!
Art Jewelry from Earth's Elements
My love of metal sparked after seeing molten bronze during a sculpture pour at an artist’s foundry many years ago. I sat in rapt by the fire and the glowing bronze melting beneath the heat of that torch. Once the metal was ready to pour, the crucible was lifted and the molten metal was poured to the awaiting sculpture mold. Hot, fiery liquid bronze splashed and sizzled. There was lots of steam and so much heat. But I sat there watching that metal flow thinking it looked like hot pink lemonade and I was hooked. I could not stop talking about that molten bronze and how I wanted to be able touch it. Play with it. Create with it.
My love of metal started that day and has continued to grow for the last 20 years. I love to pierce it with my jeweler’s saw, form it with my hammer and solder it with my torch. I love to add color with enamels and sparkle with gemstones. My work is most often inspired by the abundance of nature that I am surrounded by in the Pacific Northwest but occasionally I can be persuaded by the bold, straight lines of the urban scenery of the city.
I design, create and teach out of my art studio in Olympia.
My Etsy experience started on a whim. And skyrocketed over the moon from there.
I was well versed in selling at the local art festival scene before my son was born. My work was well received but I always thought I could do better. After taking a long respite to raise my boy, I heard about Etsy from a friend who had read about it on Dooce.
I had some inventory of one of my best sellers left over from my last selling excursion at the Seattle NW Folklife Festival that I had done way back when. It was a pair of my Tree Art earrings in copper. I listed them the day I opened my store (Sept 26, 2006) and they sold. The very next day.
And away we went....

What does "made to order" mean?
It means the art jewelry piece listed will be made when YOU order it :D Please allow up to 10 or more (see listing for actual time) business days (i.e. Monday thru Friday) for your art jewelry to be hand crafted and mailed to you (once payment has cleared).
I will create made to order purchases ONLY after payment has been received and cleared.
For all made to order listings, please allow for slight variations from the pictures shown. Since each art jewelry piece is hand crafted by me, each one will be slightly different. That is one of the things that makes each made to order piece special!
Personalized made to order items are not eligible for returns.

Each order comes ready to give (or keep for yourself) in a kraft jewelry box, wrapped in washi tape and tied with ribbon or hemp twine.
