About

Beautiful Silk and Lace Treasures. . .

I am a recently retired dressmaker/seamtress from my online business of selling silks, laces, custom couture embroidery and design.
I am now able to do many projects dear to my heart that have had to be put on the back burner because they were desires, not actual orders to fulfill.
I will be providing OOAK items in silk and lace for the most part, in a range of unique items along with new and vintage/antique laces. Hopefully you will enjoy my eclectic choices.

Welcome to our shop. We will be offering an eclectic mix of vintage/antique laces, silk fabrics, and upcycled/reconstructed clothing based on our inventory of silks and laces.

Payment
We expect payment within 3 business days unless there is a particular problem and we will work with you if you need us to for a longer period but you have to contact us and let us know. We also will do layaways. . contact us for whatever your circumstances require and we'll see if we can accommodate you.
Shipping
NOTE: BECAUSE WE CARRY A WIDE VARIETY OF ITEMS IN VARYING SIZES, IT IS DIFFICULT TO CALCULATE SHIPPING COSTS ACCURATELY. THEREFORE YOU COULD SEE A TOTAL ON A LISTING THAT IS WAY OUT OF WHACK; PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT US AND GET AN ACCURATE COST BASED ON WHAT YOU WANT TO PURCHASE. WE DO REFUND ANY OVERAGES BUT I UNDERSTAND THAT PAYING UP FRONT FOR SOMETHING THAT IS EXCESSIVELY INACCURATE CAN BE A PROBLEM EVEN THOUGH WE PROCESS GENERALLY WITHIN 24 HOURS, BOTH THE ITEM AND ANY REFUND THAT IS DUE.

Therefore we allow for a 1-3 business day mailing timeframe. Although we do ship generally in a shorter timeframe. . same day if the order comes in early enough. We guesstimate on our shipping costs and if the amount actually paid is more than what was charged we will refund after shipping. If it is more, we will request the additional funds prior to shipping. This happens occasionally with overseas transactions. We would like anyone that has a question about shipping to contact first before purchasing. That way we can get more accurate figures. We no longer ship first class domestically because of the inability to track; so everything goes priority. . cheapest method is used. We DO ship first class for overseas when appropriate. Refunds and Exchanges
We offer a full refund ONLY if the item is not as described; we do in some instances refund with special circumstances based upon correspondence with a customer on a case-by-case basis. In those cases, item has to be returned within 7 days from approval for the refund to apply. We will credit for the amount paid for something different as an alternative. We want to please our customers but we can only do that when honesty is the best policy. All products are eligible. . if any item is not as described. . we fully refund including shipping costs. A minor problem, i.e, a separated seamline, it doesn't fit, a missing button, a color that looks different than what is listed also does not qualify for a refund. We photograph in natural light showing the true color . . . if you want to make sure that you have the color you are looking for then ask us for a Pantone color match number which will give you the correct color match. If for any reason a color is off, we can see it in our photographs; and we will notify you of that in the text of the listing.
NOTE: Occasionally we have a customer who has not really thought through her purchase and wants a refund as a result. If it looks like this is truly an oversight/misunderstanding on the customers part, we would consider refunding on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you have any questions about this.
Additional policies and FAQs
We don't do wholesale or consignment; we only guarantee the item that is being sold as what it is; occasionally since we sell antique/vintage laces, we do not always have the provenance of that particular lace. We have to guesstimate the approximate age. . returning something for that reason would not be accepted. So be sure if you have any questions, to ask first. We will tell you the truth about an item. We do not want unhappy customers. We will also on occasion do custom work. Ask.
