My name is Marina Gutierrez and live in Puerto Rico, USA. I am a Fiber Artisan, Certified by Fomento - The Industrial Development Company of Puerto Rico (PRIDCO) and also the Department of Tourism for over 20 years.
I individually hand paint/hand-dye 100% silk scarves making them unique one of a kind. Batik, tie-dye, and silk painting are the techniques I explore in creating my original designs.
If you are on your vacation in Puerto Rico or are Cruising the Caribbean and make a stop on my beautiful Island at the Port of Old San Juan, you will find me to the left next to Pier1 at Plaza Darsenas. I am fortunate to be part of the open Artisans Market located inside the plaza sponsored by the Department of Tourism. I am there when Cruise Liners are in Port. I would love to meet you personally at my table and show you my one-of-a-kind creations. If you would like to see photos of Plaza Darsenas follow me on my Social Media Networks.

Mi nombre es Marina Gutierrez y vivo en Puerto Rico. Soy artesana certificada por la compañia de Fomento (PRIDCO) -Industrial Development Company of Puerto Rico y el Departamento de Turismo de Puerto Rico por más de 20 años.
Yo pinto individualmente las bufandas de 100% seda utilizando las técnicas de Batik, Tie Dye y Pintura sobre Seda que las convierte en piezas únicas.
Si usted visita a Puerto Rico o esta viajando el Caribe en Crucero y hacen una parada en el Puerto del Viejo San Juan me encuentran a la ¨ Plasita Darsenas¨ al lado del Muelle. Justo al lado de la oficina de información al Turismo.
Soy afortunada de ser parte de el Mercado Artesanal auspiciado por el Departamento de Turismo. Estoy presente cuando hay Cruceros en el Puerto. As I begin my adventure ...
Certifed Fiber Artist
I have been hand dying and hand painting Silk for over 25 years now. My favorite techniques are batik, tie dye and silk painting. My inspiration comes from my surroundings here in the beautiful Tropical Island of Puerto Rico, USA 🇵🇷🇺🇸 with so many gorgeous vibrant colors ... the seafoan aqua oceans, the glorious lush green mountains and all the spectacular tropical flowers keep me motivated and inspired.
I am a Certified Fiber Artist and participate at our local Artisan Market sponsored by the Department of Tourism of Puerto Rico.
I extend you an invitation if you find yourself in my local area, are here on vacation or just on one of your stops if you are Cruising the Caribbean.

Custom Orders Information
You can request Custom Orders at SilkMari Etsy Shop. Please read our information before you make a purchase.
1. All custom orders will ship in 15 - 20 days of the order.
2. Custom Orders are not refundable.
3. Puerto Rico taxes apply to the sale.

Your silk scarf may have some subtle differences from the photo due. Keep in mind that this is a handmade item. Each piece is unique.
Care instructions
Wash Instructions:
A silk scarves is very delicate. Please do not use detergents. Wash with mild soap with cold water. Towel dry and iron on silk setting.
