About

From Nurse to Silversmith in One (not true.... many!) Easy Steps.

Hi. My long career in nursing ended very abruptly after I injured my spine. This was followed by surgery that went spectacularly wrong and left me unable walk without crutches. Many months later, after I'd got my head back together, I decided to follow my heart and take up silversmithing, something I had wanted to do all my life.

I can now say that I'm almost glad the injury happened. I love the creative side of my work. I can sit and doodle until i come up with something new, or just get an idea that i then jot down and change until i'm happy with the design. I work mainly in silver and copper, and i love that i can get a sheet of silver and cut, shape, hammer and solder it, and have somethingpbeautiful at the end.

I live on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire, UK.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my collection of sterling silver, copper and beadwork. I have spent 2 years training at college in silversmithing. I love the creative process, and am so pleased when i finish something that i love myself. I hope you dind something here that you like just as much.

I buy top quality silver from one of the countries leading bullion outlets.

Additional policies and FAQs
General Cleaning:

For silver items i would recommend an occaional wipe with an anti-tarnish cloth. These are freely available at jewellers or online. I personally don't use the silver 'dips', as i think they encourage tarnish to develop.

Beads:
Most beads i sell are glass, so they just require a wipe over with a damp cloth and a buff. Be careful not to bang them when cleaning or wearing.
