Not shipped on time! I haven't received yet even though I ordered Dec 6! It said it would ship in 2-3 weeks when I ordered. I tried to contact Michelle after Christmas. The web sit was not accepting inquiries. Etsy got her to contact me by email. She said it would be shipped in a couple of days after she made it. She had been sick. I understand sickness, but, she could have let me know that I would not receive before Christmas. I would have understood.!! As of today, January 17, I still have not received it. It was charged to my credit card the day I ordered it! If I don't receive this week, I will file a claim with Etsy to get my money back!

I ordered this item as a Christmas gift. I asked before it was ordered if it would arrive before Christmas. I was assured yes, in plenty of time (it should ship by Dec. 7th). I order November 16 and had to ask the seller several times if she was planning to ship or have it ready before Christmas. I even opened a case up on it. I did not receive the item until December 23rd. Again, asking for it to be shipped and waiting days for a response. I felt the seller often was dismissive or used lots excuses for her reasons why the item was not made yet or shipped. I did my best to be understanding but I truly feel the customer service was awful. It was very frustrating and overall my experience working with this shop wasn't worth the overall product.

I was so thankful that the sign got here prior to Christmas so major props for that! I was a little underwhelmed when it came in. The words are extremely faded and hard to read. I was hoping for a "distressed" look. And with my 20/20 vision, I struggled to read it right in front of me. I also thought it would be inset a bit, like a frame.. But it was all flush. I had absolutely no trouble ordering or with the maker. That was all great! Just purely aesthetic because I pictured something else. So I encourage you to still purchase while knowing it may look different than pictured. :)

About

A place for simple beautiful things.

My name is Michelle Shackle. I am married to my best friend and we have three adorable fur babies. I am in my third year of school with Liberty University Online studying Psychology: Christian Counseling.
Over two years ago I decided to open an Etsy shop, but I didn't have a good plan for what I wanted to sell. I just knew the name: Simple Remnant. To me it's more than just a shop name, it's a way of living. I want to live a life that finds beauty in the simple things and that holds on to every remnant of what's important to me.
When my shop first started out I was selling jewelry. That was okay for a little while, but it wasn't what I really enjoyed. So this year (2016) my shop took a whole new turn. I have re-branded my entire shop. I now am focused on home decor. I love little rustic touches, and finding old wood that I can bring new life to. I love working with my hands and building things, our home is filled with handmade pieces.
I hope you enjoy my products, and that each item is a reminder of the simple things in life.
