Original jewelry for the modern free spirit. Inspire joy. Respect the earth.

Simple Wealth was born from the intention of transforming forgotten metals into beautiful art. The founders and creators of Simple Wealth use their craft to open a compassionate dialogue about the flow of waste into our landfills and oceans, and the social and environmental effects of mass produced, outsourced goods and fast fashion. Through the process of transforming scrap metals into meaningful and wearable art, Simple Wealth reconnects and breathes new life into our "stuff". (from Cozdrvn.com)

We use locally sourced scrap copper and brass, along with sterling silver, semi precious stones and beach rocks and shells from the Gaviota Coast.

Simple Wealth is about celebrating the gifts around you, the small things that many don't notice and money can't buy.

Our items are ready to ship in 1-3 business days, if it is a made to order piece turnaround is usually one week. We love to do custom work, please contact us with your ideas.

Because of etsy settings, some listings don't have combined shipping. If you want to order more than one item, please send me a convo and I will get you combined shipping.

About

The drive to create is what brought us here.

Boy meets Girl on a greyhound bus in Los Angeles circa 2002. Boy had a background in geology and rocks and girl had a need to keep busy and an obsession with hand sewing. Back then he taught her how to knot hemp, and that started a creative jewelry journey still in the making. Fast forward fourteen years and you have Simple Wealth, our place to create one of a kind wearable art that fulfills our need to turn our ideas into tangible reality, using natural hand cut cabochons and a variety of recycled metals.

My favorite medium to work with is copper pipe, because you can turn it into so many things. It is so readily available, you can find it in a lot of places. The transformation is amazing, burn it, cut it, pound it into anything you can think of.

Shipping
We try our best to ship items within 2 business days of cleared payment. All items come in a Kraft gift box tied with hemp cord. My goal is to source packaging that is made in the USA from post consumer recycled materials and completely recyclable, reusable or biodegradable. I think we are 90% to that goal. It's super important to me to use recycled and recyclable products, and to support US made products and small businesses.
Additional policies and FAQs
How to measure your bracelet size: Wrap a soft measuring tape or ribbon snugly (but not too tightly) around your wrist, just below your wrist bone. Mark the length, (cutting and/or measuring the ribbon with a ruler) and add 1 to 1.5 inches. This is your bracelet size.

Another measurement technique: simply measure a bracelet that fits you comfortably and is similar in style to the one you want to order. Remember, a chunky bracelet will fit you differently than a delicate one, and will need to be a bit longer to accommodate the width of the materials. Don't forget to measure the bracelet end-to-end, including the clasp.

For custom orders, If you forget to leave me your size, I will try to contact you via convo. If I am unable to connect with you in 3 days, in will make your bracelet 7 inches long. If it doesn't fit you when you receive it, I am happy to resize it. Please note that like returns, the buyer is responsible for all shipping.

A note about recycled metals:
My shop uses mostly all recycled metals. Due to the recycled nature of our metals, some items may be slightly distressed looking. There may be scratches or marks in the metal, or something may not line up exactly perfect. All of my items are almost completely handmade. These imperfections are not to be seen as defects, but unique qualities of using recycled or reclaimed metals and buying handmade. I try my best to convey any such marks in my photographs.

Care instructions

Please do not sleep, exercise, or shower in your jewelry. Keep it away from lotions, oils, and cleaning products.
Keep it in a safe place like a jewelry box when not wearing. Do not throw it in a drawer or purse, as that can cause jewelry to break, bend, or become tangled.
Gemstones can break or crack with force. Jewelry can be fragile. Please treat it with care.
To remove patina from copper, soak in a mixture of pure lemon juice and salt (or white vinegar if there are no gemstones or pearls) for 5-10 seconds.
After removing the item from the mixture, lather with gentle soap and water, and scrub gently with an old toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly. Pat dry with a towel. You can also use a dry polishing cloth.
