LOVE THIS !!! May paint a milky white, not sure yet. Am going to hang this on wall w/ an old door knob w/ dried flowers hanging from knob. I have a small group of these that will be one of my many projects this summer. It's going to look sooo shabby !!

Living a Simply, Creative, Life.

Simply Creative Living was founded on the basic principal that we can go back to the basics of what really matters. Not so many years ago, people made everything for themselves. As life got busier, people did not have the time for such things, so the assembly and production lines stepped in. The quality of ingredients in our beauty products was compromised for cheaper alternatives.

Some years ago I have become increasingly concerned about all these toxins in my own life and decided to do what I could to reduce what I was absorbing into my body. I started experimenting with home-made, more natural beauty items. While talking with friends, I found I was not alone in my concerns, so I started to share my products with them, and now I share them with you.

Living ‘Simply’ is living with more natural ingredients in your life. Our bodies were not designed to absorb all these chemicals and my beauty line seeks to bring us back to the basics. Living ‘Creative’ means not accepting what is easily accessible, but rather seeking out those products, that lifestyle that benefits us in the long run. Finally, ‘Living’ means enjoying the world and people around you. Slowing down to enjoy what has been placed before you by a loving Creator. Living a Simply, Creative, Life.

I ship all packages by USPS with delivery confirmation. In order to save you as much money as possible, First Class shipping will be used unless an order weighs more than First Class allows. Priority Mail will be used in these instances. Items will ship within 3 postal days, usually on Tuesdays and Fridays. Exceptions are made for large and custom orders. In this case, you will be notified by me as to a time frame for shipping. Shipping is provided to the USA and overseas.

Insurance is not applied to shipping unless requested by purchaser as this is an additional charge. If you require insurance, please contact me before purchasing so I can make you up a special listing to reflect shipping and insurance.

For your information, four bars of soap fits nicely into a small flat rate box. The medium flat rate box will fit almost forty bars of soap.

Special note: I try my best to have shipping charges reflect what it will actually cost to send a package (including packing costs), but I cannot run all possible scenarios. If actual postage costs are substantially less than what you paid, you will be refunded the difference.

Additional policies and FAQs
GRAPHICS: All graphics and designs shown in this shop are the property of Simply Creative Living and Recycle Bin Graphics. It is a strict violation of Copyright Law to duplicate them in any way for sale without my express permission. Purchasers of graphics do have permission to use graphics for personal use. If you want to use them for your business, you may use them on printed brochures or tags to promote your business.

CUSTOM SOAP ORDERS: If you have a desire for certain ingredients in your soap that you do not see in my shop, or like a certain soap, but want a certain scent in it, please convo me. I will work with you to get you what you are looking for in soap qualities or scents. Due to the nature of my soap mold, special orders are preferred in 15 bar increments (slab) or 16 bar increments (loaf). I can accommodate less amounts depending on circumstances. Please know that my soap needs 4 -6 weeks to cure after creating it. Also, if you need a certain scent or ingredient that is not in stock, there is a 1 - 2 week additional wait for the product to be ordered and arrive before I can create the soap.

FREE SAMPLES OF SOAP, LOTION: Available upon request, with purchase. Please let me know which one you would like. I am sorry, but due to a new scam, samples are not sent out alone.

Why Some Chemicals?
In my quest to make the most natural beauty products possible, I have had to concede that they (and you) need to be protected from microbes that can grow from the ingredients in the product itself, or simply enter and rest on the product when you open the container. So if you see a name you do not recognize, it will be a preservative. I seek out the most natural and body-friendly preservatives I can. MANY hours of research has gone into this subject and I have found that all-natural preservatives may work for a little while, but in the long run, will not do the job properly. So as a result, most are naturally derived.

Here are a list of what I presently use:
Optiphen PLUS offers broad spectrum preservation without parabens or formaldehyde. Consisting of Phenoxyethanol (an aromatic ether alcohol), Sorbic Acid (a natural acid that offers protection from yeast, fungus and mold) and Caprylyl Glycol (an emollient base). [ ]

Phenonip is liquid preservative to inhibit a full range of microbial growth. Phenonip is not a formaldehyde donor. [ ]

AMTicide combines the antimicrobial properties of sodium benzoate (a common food-grade preservative) with gluconodeltalactone (derived from microbial fermentation of corn starch). [ ]

Sodium Citrate is the sodium salt of citric acid. []

Tetrasodium EDTA is produced synthetically in the laboratory. Its use as a chelating agent for soaps and shampoos that not only allows them to work in hard water, but reduces soap build-up in the shower and plumbing.
[ ]

All preservatives and chemicals are used in quantities just large enough to do the job, but also very much under FDA guidelines for maximum percentage. This allows my products to be as natural as possible, but still deliver the high quality that customers expect. All chemicals are reported on the ingredient list. If you don't see any chemicals listed, then there aren't any in the product. As a rule of thumb, all products with water in them, in addition to the soap, will have some sort of preservative in them, unless otherwise requested by the customer.
