What started out as a way to keep busy during the summer vacation months away from college, Simply Honest has surpassed my original ideas and become something a lot more exciting.

As someone who still keeps every Birthday, Christmas and Thank You card she receives, you could say I've grown attached to the idea of a handwritten sentiment. In a fast-growing digital age of e-cards and social media shout-outs, there's just something about opening your mail box to find a piece of mini-artwork that someone took the time to pick out and write inside, just for you...

And so Simply Honest was born. As the name suggests, I strive to create simplistic designs, while allowing you to write your most honest affections inside to be cherished by your loved ones!

Since opening my shop in June 2011, I've had the privilege to work with so many wonderful and creative individuals. Bringing someone else's ideas to life is perhaps the best feeling in the world—and I don't plan to stop anytime soon.

Hello there and welcome to Simply Honest! This shop is ran solo by yours truly (Kelsey Blevins) out of my home in the great state of Michigan (yep, that silly state shaped like a mitten). If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out!


MY PROCESS

All of my designs are created from my original sketches (I do not use clipart), are digitally finished and printed in-house using high quality archival pigment inks. Everything is hand-cut and assembled with care by me in my smoke-free, pet-free and (mostly) baby-free studio.

I do my best to represent all colors perfectly. However, colors may vary between computer monitors depending on calibration and model, and I cannot guarantee the colors on your screen will match the finished tangible product.

All photographs and designs are copyrighted by Simply Honest. My products are solely intended for personal use, and may NOT under any circumstances be redistributed, used for commercial purposes or as part of a commercial enterprise. To do so would be illegal (and not very nice).

Payment is due at the time of checkout. I accept Etsy Gift Cards, PayPal and credit cards via Etsy Direct Checkout.

I'm sorry, but I cannot accept personal checks or money orders via mail.

COUPON CODES

Coupon codes may not be used on custom work and cannot be applied after an order has been placed. If you have a question about the use of your coupon, just ask!
Shipping
WHERE IS MY ORDER AND HOW WILL IT GET HERE?

Please allow up to three business days for your order to be processed before shipping.

Orders that are returned to me due to an incomplete or incorrect address provided at checkout will only be resent at the customer's expense. Additionally, orders that are abandoned by the customer for any reason will not be returned to the customer and will only be resent at the customer's expense.

DOMESTIC (U.S.) CUSTOMERS:

My default shipping method is USPS First Class Mail. I ship from Michigan, so it can sometimes take 7 business days for packages to reach the West Coast via First Class Mail. Priority Mail packages are usually delivered within three days of shipping, but the USPS does not guarantee delivery by a certain date for Priority or First Class packages, so sadly neither can I.

I cannot issue refunds if your package is delayed. It is always best to plan ahead and account for any unexpected delays. My recommended ordering deadlines for upcoming holidays are posted above and in my Shop Announcement.

If you would like to receive your items faster, ask me about upgraded Priority shipping!

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

I do ship internationally; however, I cannot promise your package will arrive by a certain date. Sometimes packages are held up in Customs for seemingly no reason, and transit times vary wildly. Though not typical, International packages can take up to 8 weeks to arrive if they are randomly selected for inspection at Customs.

I ship overseas via First Class Mail International, which is the only cost-effective option (and as you can see, even that is quite expensive). This method does not provide tracking information.

I am not responsible for any additional customs tariffs or charges that your country imposes on your package, nor can I predict what they might be.

★ PLEASE NOTE ★

Please triple-check the shipping address you provide at checkout. If you find that you've made an error with the address, please notify me ASAP. Once an order's shipping label has been printed (typically the same day it is placed), I am unable to make changes to that address and a new label will need to be purchased at the customer's expense. If the package has already been shipped out, an entirely new order will need to be placed by the customer. Thank you for your understanding.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to their customized nature, personalized items/sets (featuring names, dates, invitations, "Choose Your Own Color", etc) cannot be refunded or exchanged. However, customer service is of utmost importance to me, so please contact me if there are any issues and I will do my best to work something out! If there is a mistake on my end, I will replace your item(s) free of charge.

For all other items that can be resold, returns should be made within 5 days of when the purchase is received (you must contact me first). Shipping cost to return the item is the responsibility of the buyer and refund of the purchase price less any shipping will be made promptly once the item has been received by me and in resell-able condition.

ACCURATE PERSONALIZATION

I will copy your provided personalization text exactly as you type it. Please check your personalization carefully, as to avoid any mistakes.

Sometimes it's easy to forget to include a color option (when applicable) at checkout. If you don't specify a color, and don't respond to my messages within 48 hours of purchase, your order will be created in the same colors as the sample images to keep turnaround/shipping time to a minimum.

However, colors will vary between computer monitors/devices, and I unfortunately cannot guarantee the colors on your screen will match the physical piece(s). If there is a concern about matching colors for a specific need/event, contact me first and I'll do my best to help!
Additional policies and FAQs
PAPER & ENVELOPES

My paper products are made with premium FSC Certified 100% recycled content, 30% post-consume and come in bright white and speckled light brown tones.

White envelopes are 60lb smooth finished, 100% recycled and feature a pointed gum flap. Specialty colored envelopes are 80lb smooth finished, 30% post-consumer recycled with a pointed gum flap.
