Announcement    Welcome to Simply The Glitter...I'm Michele Lafonta, owner and creator of all things that shine! I love to create things that sparkle and shimmer, whether it's glitter or jewelry. Since my assemblage jewelry pieces are made with vintage findings and components, they may have a flaw. I will try to describe that to the best of my ability. I believe the slight flaws give the piece lots of charm. Everything I make is one of a kind and made from repurposed, upcycled, recycled vintage and antique jewelry or vintage inspired elements! All items from Simply the Glitter are wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped with care!

Thank you for stopping by my shop...items are constantly being uploaded, so please stop by again!

About SimplyTheGlitter

On Etsy since 2014

My passion is to create things from unwanted and unloved treasures and turn them into new pieces that will be cherished for years to come!

I am so excited that you stopped by to check out my little shop. Thanks to my mother, I have loved creating since I was a little girl! I've worked as an Executive Assistant for almost 40 years and as much as I love my bosses and my job, I love creating and crafting much more! I'm counting down until I can retire and do this full time. In the meantime, making my creations is very relaxing for me and takes away the stress of a day at the office!

I love to find unwanted and unloved "treasures" and turn them into a new unique piece of assemblage jewelry or a holiday creation that will once again be cherished. I love working with rhinestones and old brass and silver chains, antique finishes, natural gemstones, and vintage jewelry. I think I love the hunt for those unwanted objects as much as I love changing them into a new creation. I am having a wonderful time on this journey and I am VERY appreciative of family and friends who support me in this great adventure. I hope you find something you love and stop by often.

Additional policies and FAQs
Nothing I make looks machine-made or mass-produced as I make every piece by hand myself using high quality findings and vintage elements. Please note measurements within each listing. As with any vintage piece, wear with care. I provide each piece with a pouch for safe storage. Any wear, distress, or patina should not be viewed as a defect, but as an addition to the piece's character and charm, and a sign of a well-loved element having lived a life prior to its new one with you.
