Just finished this project and took a couple photos with a band from another order. I think the width and texture of the band pairs really well with the smoothness and width of the solitaire!

I’m excited to be making more modern antique styles. I wanted to make a halo that is wearable and classic, but still modern. I love the mirror sparkle of step cut stones, so I went with an asscher cut. But set vertically for a unique diamond effect.

All finished with my first emerald cut! I am pleased with how it turned out, particularly the beveled setting.

I’ve been working on some new things lately! I wanted to add some more stone shapes and went with an asscher and an emerald cut.

Coming soon, emerald cut in a hand carved tapered setting. Seriously excited to be offering emerald cuts!

Photographing these rings together. They’re not symmetrical and different from all angles so it’s a challenge to get them to all put their best face forward at once! I also have 7 new pieces coming back from the caster this week and I’m so excited!

My trusty shop monkey (aka my husband) assembling and mounting my new bench scope! I’ll be using it set tiny melee like in the microbezel halo. It is amazing! It makes seeing what I’m doing so much easier, like the lights have finally been turned on!

Preparing waxes for more of these free form nature inspired rings. Green sapphire in a pear rose cut and an octagonal cut and a natural yellow diamond in a rose cut cushion. I’m having difficulty deciding on metals. Yellow gold? More blackened silver?

A little bit of process...I sculpt the body in wax, ensuring the seat for the stone is a good fit, adding little bursts of bubbles. I wanted this to be asymmetric and random, but I think these decorative elements have a lot of potential for patterns.

And the finished product. Since this has a high polish, reflective finish, it was best to photograph on a light surface . I took some pictures on my wood back drop and the reflections were just so dark. #liveandlearn #practicemakesprogress

Some process photos of my most recent addition. I wanted to make a nice 5 stone ring with larger stones, but I didn’t want it to be overly large and overwhelming. I think this balance with a 3/4ct center turned out nicely!

I’m not a huge fan of tiny prongs and I wanted to create a halo that had a distinctive non-flower look. So I came up with these little micro bezels. I love them and can’t wait to make a pear or marquis shaped version of this ring!

My new opal ring with some of my other modern antique style pieces. It was fun to make something a little more delicate than my usual style.

Just got in a lovely parcel of green sapphires. So mossy and interesting. Definitely my favorite stone right now. These would looks great in an alternative engagement ring or a pair of unique earrings.

I recently made a special wedding set for a Texas couple using the Sunken Treasure ring as the starting point. We incorporated some lovely stones that were originally from two classic prong set solitaires into a sun and moon/toi et moi wide band ring.

The glamour shot! And the not so glamour shots. Drilling out and then cutting some of the seat for the diamonds. Then setting the stones as the ring is held in thermoplastic. This is my new full eternity ring that I will be adding to the shop today!

Another earring of the week! Finally pried myself away from the square wire (that's rectangular and round). As much as I fantasize about making art nouveau style stuff, I'm definitely more bauhaus in reality.....

I now have a wider band peekaboo! And a tiny little diamond peeking out from the wedding band. Super fun little custom project.

Just finished a custom version of this scattered band. All of the stones moved to the top of the band for maximum sparkle and ease of future resizing.

Still working with new ideas for interesting earrings. I'm trying not to edit myself and just going with what comes into my head. (Still obsessed with square wire...)

Still working on my earring a day project. Have a few new ones to add to the shop. Totally in love with square wire still.

Busy busy, getting my own website organized and refreshed. The Etsy system has been a little bit weird lately, so I'm diversifying. Can't keep all my eggs in one basket!

Setting the stone in a custom illumination ring. 1.30ct diamond sparkler! This is my main bench for now. I have plans for a second bench this year, to keep for stone setting and metal forming. This bench will become my soldering and polishing station.

I have a few more of these lacy styles coming to the shop soon. Sterling silver with gold bands, diamond in the square, green and white sapphires are planned for the triangle. Very excited to see these finished!

I've been experimenting with some more light weight settings recently . This ring has a gorgeous white rose cut diamond set into blackened sterling silver.
