Hello! You have landed in my Etsy shop. Please enjoy a nice little look around. If you need any help with details feel free to send me an email and I will get back to you ASAP. I really LOVE custom orders, so if you are not seeing exactly what you want here in the shop we can totally work together to create the perfect piece.

Right now my work time is right around 4 weeks (give or take a couple of days) for custom made items. If you have an urgent deadline, I will try to accommodate you, but please get in touch as soon as you can. Ready made items ship in 1-2 business days. Please see my shop policies if you have questions about shipping, sizing, returns, or other nuts and bolts issues.

***STUDIO HOURS***
My studio hours are 8am to 2pm PST, Monday through Friday. I do my best to answer emails on the same day they come in. If you are looking for a rush order, please say so in your email and I will get to you right away.

For pretty jewelry photos and views into the studio, you can find my Instagram here:
https://www.instagram.com/j.yaffa/

If you are interested in my design process or if you are curious about how things are made, please visit my blog: http://jyaffa.com/singlebstudio/

I also have an Instagram for my more experimental jewelry, gardening and mom life:
https://www.instagram.com/justine_v.1/

Buyers, please know that your order will take around 4 weeks to make. Calculate 4 weeks from the date that I received payment and you will have your approximate shipping date. If you have a special occasion, please let me know and I will try to work with you. Some items will not take that long to ship out, but in general 3 weeks is the absolute minimum of time I need to actually make something. I also charge an express order fee for any deadlines under 4 weeks. Special projects will likely take longer than 4 weeks, but I will keep you updated on the progress on your special order.

Lots of different textures to choose from when finishing up a band. I think they look great either contrasting or matching. All of the textures I use are interchangeable and can be mixed and matched for every design.
Almost all of my engagement rings can stack flush with a wedding band and this emerald cut is exceptionally low profile.

About

Unique fine jewelry, designed and hand made in the beautiful Pacific Northwest since 2009.

I love precious metals and stones. Not only because they are precious, but because they are beautiful and durable. I try to make jewelry that will last as close to forever as a piece of well loved jewelry can. I want my pieces to be passed on to grandchildren. Perhaps to be taken apart and reset to suit the fashion of the times (what will popular jewelry look like in 50 years? I predict that halo settings and micro pavé will be just as ubiquitous). But maybe not! So that is what I am aiming for. Pieces that a future granddaughter will be as excited to wear as her nana was back in the day. And I want the construction of my work to last that long too, not just the designs.

I can't take myself that seriously though, I don't want to go on and on about my design process or influences. Ideas come into my mind, I attempt to make them in metal and then I make them again and again until they are perfect. I don't have enough time (or resources!) to make all of the things that I think of, but nothing is more satisfying than when I finish a new piece. Except, perhaps, when I make something new and people like it as much as I do.

I try to value each piece individually, give it my full attention, and not let routine take over. I love it when my customers let me know a little about themselves (of course, I also value those who just want to buy something and don't need or want a lot of backstory or hand holding!). But I REALLY love getting engagement or wedding photos after my work has been put into action.

So I guess that's about it. I am a work from home mama, who lives in her studio part of the day, looking out on a big vegetable garden (that always needs work!), with two adorable dogs snoring away under the desk.

I gladly accept returns, exchanges, and cancellations
Contact me within: 7 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 14 days of delivery
Request a cancellation within: 2 days of purchase
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Questions about your order?
Please if you have any problems with your order.
I want you to be satisified with your order. If you are unsatisfied in any way with your purchase, please contact me and we can discuss options. But if you remain unsatisfied, please see below for the two types of return policies, depending on what type of item you purchased.

Pre-made/ready to ship items: If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase please return your in stock item within 14 days of receiving it for exchange or credit only. Items must be in the exact condition as you received them (i.e. no dings scratches or obvious wear). Returns for credit or exchange apply only to items that are ready to ship (i.e. premade). Items that will be sized to you specifically and are made after they are ordered are customized items.

Custom made/sized rings and other custom items, including personalized items:
These specially made items cannot be returned. I am not a huge jewelry chain, so returns for reasons other than obvious defects are not something that I can absorb. Please contact me if there is an issue with your order and we will work to resolve it.
Payment
I accept credit/debit cards, paypal, and checks.

I do accept partial payments for most orders. Please contact me for details, but in general the purchase amount can be split into 2-4 payements, and the total needs to be paid within 3 months. For most orders I can begin work when 50% of the total has been paid. For large purchases the entire amount needs to be paid in full before I can start on your project.

Please pay for the item that you have ordered with 2 days of purchasing or contact me for arranging split payments. If you have purchased something that I have on hand, something that I do not have to make custom, I will ship it within 1-2 business days of receipt of payment.

I do make most items custom AFTER THEY ARE ORDERED. So please allow 3-6 weeks for production and shipping. If it is a custom order, you and I will work out the details together about the time-line.
Shipping
Domestic (United States) orders will be shipped via USPS priority or Express mail, with insurance. Orders over 5K will be shipped via USPS registered mail with insurance.

In general INTERNATIONAL orders will be shipped via USPS, with insurance if the value is below 5000 USD. If it is above that, I will ship via Fedex. In addition, some countries require shipping via a certain method, so INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING WILL BE DEALT WITH ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. Some countries do not allow jewelry to be shipped to their country. ***I CANNOT get real insurance for Fedex shipments, so if I have to ship via Fedex to your country, buying from me will be at your own risk. :-(***

**If you are ordering internationally, it is your responsibility to pay the proper customs taxes etc. In general, when a package has entered your country's customs and postal service there isn't much I can do to track it from there.***

Buyers, please know that your order will take right around 4 weeks to make. Calculate 4 weeks from the date that I received payment and you will have your average shipping date. If you have a special occasion, please let me know and I will try to work with you. Some items will not take that long to ship out, but in general 3 weeks is the absolute minimum. Special projects will likely take longer than 3-4 weeks, but I will keep you updated on the progress on your special order.
Additional policies and FAQs
CUSTOMER PROVIDED STONES
I would be glad to work with a stone that you provide as long as it is round, oval, or cushion shaped and in good condition. This is limited to diamonds, sapphires, and moissanite. It needs to be removed from it's current setting and inspected before being sent to me.

INSURANCE
It is really important that you insure your purchase. I am not an insurance agent, I'm a craftsperson/artist and I know almost nothing about insurance, nor do I offer any sort of insurance or warranty on my rings. An agent will be able to guide you through insuring your ring/diamond much better than I can. So please, have your ring/diamond insured! Accidents happen, things get lost, so be prepared with a good insurance policy.

CAN YOU COME AND VISIT THE STUDIO TO SEE RINGS IN PERSON?
I make almost everything custom after it is ordered. So, I don't have a stock of jewelry on hand to be tried on or looked at. I am more than happy to chat with you over the phone, or answer questions via email. I don't have an actual storefront, I work from a private studio behind my home.
Privacy
This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy. You can reference the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn more about its privacy practices.

I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
