I have always enjoyed making things and working with my hands

I have always enjoyed working with my hands. It seems I am always making something or repairing something or re-purposing something. I can’t seem to get away from it. As Monk would say “it is blessing…and a curse.”
Several years ago my daughter began making and selling beaded jewelry at various art fairs. I always went along to help her get set up and then stayed to be an extra person in the booth. While there I began dickering with some of the loose beads and ultimately I came up with an interesting creative men’s necklace. Someone chose to buy it. After that I took in a couple of custom orders and …well, as the saying goes, the rest is history. Now I find myself creating beaded art all the time.
I prefer to make really cool men’s jewelry but I also create some items specifically for women. I work with leather and silver as well as beads. And, I my newest endeavor is to work with birch bark. You might notice a hint of my Native American culture showing through in some my work as I am an enrolled member of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe.

All of the items in my store are designed by me and crafted by me with my own hands. Each bead is sewn in place one at a time. It takes more time than you might suspect but I enjoy the labor.
