sistersheepcolorado's Shop Announcement

At Sister Sheep, we raise sheep and mohair goats, and we love to share their fibers with you, the hand spinner and fiber artist.

Breeding season is underway. We've reduced our flock to 30 ewes and 2 rams, and we're excited to see what lambs come our way in April/May. We'll be shearing in February and can't wait to see how beautiful our fleece are now that we have switched to using Sheep Suits from Rocky of Longmont, Colorado - they are so sturdy.

We sheared 53 sheep plus 11 lambs on February 7, 2015. We sold 22 fleece at the 8th Annual Fleece Market at the Recycled Lamb in Golden Colorado, April 25, 2015. We have skirted our remaining fleece - just a couple left - and they are offered to you here on our Etsy site. Skirting means laying each fleece out, taking off parts a handspinner would not want to work with, testing for strength of fiber, making sure the customer is getting the best the fleece has to offer.

Thanks for visiting our shop! Come back often to see what's new! Visit our website at and our Facebook page, Sister Sheep.
