This review is for the lentil style bead in the photo. I love how this bead contains the darker red and burgandy colors. As previously mentioned I love all iterations of this bead and the metal work Lee adds to enhance them.

This review is for the tiny square bead in the cup. I enjoy giving and wearing all four styles (large and small square, round and lentil) of this bead. All in this photo are gifts for friends. I love each bead so much that sometimes it is hard to give them away. But then I think of how much people love receiving them and it eases the “pain” 😁

I am always happy with Lee’s beads and metal settings. I purchase often from her. My friends and family love her beads. It is so easy to purchase one that matches the style, personality, and tastes of the recipient!

I absolutely adore this style of bead, partially because it reminds me of the quilts my mom made, partially because of the colors, and partially because each one is unique. I love the way Lee sets each bead. She makes each one stand out and mixes up the settings, so that even that aspect of the pendant has its own special twist.

Many of my friends have commented on the beauty of the beads and the settings I purchase from Lee. But none were so appreciative as my friend who received one of the exclusive beads Lee sells (a heart with pink, red, and orange accents). A few years ago their home was robbed and all her jewelry was stolen, including her mother and grandmother's jewelry. She was so happy that she called me the minute she opened the box. She could barely wait to wear it and was so excited that she had an event coming up that week.

I'm including photos of both sides of one of these types of beads in my review. Please note that the "white" lines are simply light reflecting off the glass and that the bead does not have a white line. You will see that both sides have their own unique color scheme and character, making this a very versatile bead.

Passionate About Glass

I came to jewellery making by accident - a happy accident I might add and quickly fell in love with all aspects of it. After working with beautiful beads I decided to teach myself how to make them and now I have my own lampwork glass studio in my garden.

I am someone who has to work with the best tools and equipment so it was only natural that I chose to work with Venetian Murano glass.I love to use Murano glass beads in my work and using those and my own lampwork glass beads means I can offer a nice variety of jewellery in my shops.

I have Glass Master friends on the Island of Murano and am lucky enough to have watched them at work and been given invaluable insight into their work, this has come in very handy when making my own handmade glass lampwork beads.

Because I have built up such a great relationship with some of the Murano Glass Masters (or Maestro) they will make beads specifically for me than no one else has ever had or will ever have. I am also very lucky that I am sometimes given glass rods, pieces of filigrana, reticello, latticino and big chunks of Aventurina etc to use in my work.

Just to be clear, I buy Venetian Murano glass beads on the Island of Murano for my work in my jewellery shops here on etsy, I simply cannot produce enough beads to stock both of my shops. I use both Venetian Murano glass beads and my own lampwork glass beads in my designs.

Although the glass I use in my lampwork glass beads is the same glass used on the island of Murano (Moretti/Effetre glass) I cannot claim that mine are Murano because only beads physically made their on the island of Murano can be so called.

Because I have built up such a great relationship with some of the Murano Glass Masters (or Maestro) they will make beads specifically for me than no one else has ever had or will ever had. I am also very lucky that I am sometimes given glass rods, pieces of filigrana, reticello and Aventurina etc that the Master does not want and I can use them in my own glass beads

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.
