I'm Andy Swartz, the artist and owner of skullgarden.net and this Etsy shop. My work is inspired by scientific illustration, nature, symbiotic relationships, inner space exploration, and world mythologies and folklore. I'm mostly self taught and have a BA in Art History. I was never a "talented" artist as a kid and didn't really get started drawing until I was about 16. I taught myself how to draw by doing endless, terrible fan art (sorry mom, sorry god). My skills were learned the hard way, and I try to encourage everyone who tells me that they wish they were talented by reminding them that they can do anything they put their minds to. It helps to have a weird mind, though.

I've been a professional artist since 2007 and have been making acrylic and colored pencil paintings on wood in this style since 2011. Most of the skulls I paint are from my own collection, and the landscapes are often places that I've visited myself while traveling for art festivals and conventions (and sometimes for fun). My deck, The Wooden Tarot, was first published in 2013 and was one of the first indie tarot decks funded through Kickstarter and sold here on Etsy. I've since published three more decks, and three art books. I've been featured in a few magazines, including Juxtapoz in 2014. I do about 20 art fairs and conventions a year where I've won Best in Show and Best in Category awards, and try to put out a new illustration project every other year or so. It's important for me to keep busy and to keep pushing my personal boundaries and skills, and the idea of becoming stagnant or stale is one of my biggest fears. Having a large and cohesive, but constantly shifting style and body of work is my goal, and I'm always working on something new.

The Skullgarden Art Shop is run by a two-person team (the cats contribute absolutely nothing) right from our gallery Fool's Gold Gallery, in Tuscaloosa, AL. I scan, edit, print, trim, and pack every single print that is sold. I mount all of the prints on wood myself. It is a labor of love that we both feel blessed (and a occasionally cursed) to maintain.

++ Because the guidebook has to be added to the Pathfinder Oracle deck, this deck is not shrink wrapped like other decks. The Pathfinder Oracle deck is considered opened if the cards have been removed from the plastic slip that holds them together.

🌑 ORDER PROCESSING TIMES:
Please make sure all details about your order are correct. Orders are typically shipped out within 1-3 business days (meaning days of the week excluding weekends and holidays). My assistant, Jon, handles shipping and usually ships out orders every Tuesday and Thursday/Friday. On weeks when we have to travel for work he will also ship out orders on Wednesday. If you've placed an order on one of those days, it's possible that your will be packed and shipped on the same day, so please let us know immediately if something needs to be updated! If additional time is needed to complete your order, Jon or I will make sure to contact you.

🌒 ATTENTION TO THOSE LIVING WITHIN THE UNITED STATES:
1) MAKE SURE YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS IS USABLE WITH USPS
All orders shipped within the US, US territories, and military bases are done so through USPS. If you live in an area where USPS does not deliver directly to your location, please make sure that the shipping address provided can be validated and serviced by USPS. Contact us if the address needs to be changed to a PO Box, or an alternative address

2) ORDERS MAY BE MARKED AS DELIVERED BEFORE THEY'VE ACTUALLY ARRIVED
If you've never experienced this before, you are a rare and lucky person. Over the last 10 years it has become increasingly common for all major delivery services within the US to mark packages as delivered up to 3 business days (meaning days of the week excluding weekends and holidays) before the package actually arrives. This practice is in place so that it appears that these delivery services are meeting unrealistic delivery time goals set by Amazon, as Amazon has continued to threaten to stop using their businesses in place of their own delivery company if they cannot. Since it is difficult to prove to Amazon that a package has not truly arrived once it's been marked as delivered, all parties involved have agreed that this is an acceptable business practice.

If, after the additional 3 business days, the package has still not arrived we recommend that you speak with USPS about this. Under federal law, USPS will only discuss the whereabouts of a package with the designated recipient of that package. When Jon or I have attempted to speak with USPS in the past on behalf of a customer, the only details that they would share were yes or no responses to information I could see on the tracking history.

🌓 ATTENTION TO THOSE LIVING OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES:
1) TRACKING PACKAGES WITH GLOBALPOST
All orders shipped outside of the US are done so through a USPS partner named GlobalPost. Etsy's tracking will show this as being shipped through USPS, but this is incorrect. USPS will not track packages shipped through GlobalPost, except in rare situations, and even then it is only until the package has left the United States. GlobalPost is a logistics company that partners with multiple shipping partners across the world to get packages to their destination. A single package can be passed off to three or more different couriers before it reaches your hands, and in this process can be reassigned a tracking number at each hand off. The best way to track orders is by using the provided master tracking number at https://www.goglobalpost.com/track/ and not with Etsy's tracking tool. If new tracking numbers are assigned to the package, this should be reflected on the history details of the master tracking number.

2) THINGS TO KNOW WHEN TRACKING DETAILS STOP
There will be several points in the shipping process where you might see the tracking details stop, either for a short period or forever. I'll list out a few of the more common situations where you can expect to see this.
• When the package has reached Elk Grove Village, Illinois/Aurora, Illinois/Chicago, Illinois
◦ The package has reached one of Global Posts processing locations
◦ Delay will last until GlobalPost has found a courier to reassign the package to
• When the package has been marked as prepared to leave the US
◦ This delay is often caused by an influx of packages, and means the package is in a queue
◦ Delay will last until the package has moved through the queue
• When the package has left the US
◦ Packages have to go through both US customs and the customs agency of your country
◦ Delays can last between a few days to 2 weeks, depending on customs processing times
◦ If delays last longer, you will need to contact your customs agency about the package
◦ If customs has not record of receiving the package, please let us know!
• When the package has arrived in your country
◦ Many countries do not provide tracking for imports under a certain weight or shipping class
◦ In situations like this, the package will arrive with no further tracking updates
◦ Even if tracking is not supported, some countries will continue to track packages internally
◦ If your package has not arrived within 2 weeks of reaching your country please let us know!

🌔 CONFIRM THAT YOUR ADDRESS IS CURRENT:
Please double check your shipping address to make sure it is current. If you are preparing to move, please consider having the order shipped to your new address, or feel free to request that your order be placed on hold until you're prepared to receive packages at your new address. If an order is returned due to an incorrect/invalid address you will need to pay shipping again before we send the order out again. If you would prefer a refund instead of a second attempt at shipping the order, the cost of shipping will be withheld from the refund, even in instances where there was no shipping cost.

🌕 ADDRESS VALIDATION:
All orders being shipped to the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom & Northern Ireland will be screened by an address validation tool our shipping software, Shipstation, uses to make sure shipping addresses are correct. If the address cannot be validated, Shipstation will not generate a shipping label for the order. This tool can be picky about things such as punctuation, abbreviation, and format. Please keep an eye out for any emails from my assistant Jon asking to confirm the shipping address.

🌖 CONFIRM ADDRESS IS IN CORRECT ALPHABET:
Please make sure that your shipping address is in Latin characters if your country's alphabet does not typically use Latin characters. **Dear English speaking customers, this is not a request for your address to be written in a dead language; the English language is written in Latin characters.**

🌗 INCLUDE RECIPIENT'S FULL NAME:
Please make sure that you have included both a given name and a surname (first and last names). Both given and surnames cannot be shorter than 2 alphabetical characters. Single letter initials for either names cause an error with my shipping system when I attempt to print shipping labels.

🌘 IF YOU REALIZE YOU NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO ORDER:
If anything needs to be changed about your order, either something detailed above or if you'd like to add/remove something from your order, message me immediately to have it corrected. Once a tracking number has been provided, changes can no longer be made. Please know that if any changes to the shipping address have been made, this will not appear on Etsy's order details. Also, please know that the tracking information Etsy provides will also reflect the original address, and may appear confusing because of it.

🌑 CORRECTIONS TO AN ORDER AFTER IT HAS ARRIVED:
Please try to let us know within two weeks of receiving your purchase if there's anything missing, damaged, or incorrect with your order. If a divination deck is missing a card (please use the URL links provided in the listing's Description to view all of the card art) or if there appears to be a printing error with a card, please let us know so that we can fix this for you.
