Subtle Psychedelia and the Happiness of Pursuit.

I'm Andy Swartz, the artist and owner of and this Etsy shop. My work is inspired by scientific illustration, nature, symbiotic relationships, inner space exploration, and world mythologies and folklore. I'm mostly self taught and have a BA in Art History. I was never a "talented" artist as a kid and didn't really get started drawing until I was about 16. I taught myself how to draw by doing endless, terrible fan art (sorry mom, sorry god). My skills were learned the hard way, and I try to encourage everyone who tells me that they wish they were talented by reminding them that they can do anything they put their minds to. It helps to have a weird mind, though.

I've been a professional artist since 2007 and have been making acrylic and colored pencil paintings on wood in this style since 2011. Most of the skulls I paint are from my own collection, and the landscapes are often places that I've visited myself while traveling for art festivals and conventions (and sometimes for fun). My deck, The Wooden Tarot, was first published in 2013 and was one of the first indie tarot decks funded through Kickstarter and sold here on Etsy. I've since published three more decks, and three art books. I've been featured in a few magazines, including Juxtapoz in 2014. I do about 20 art fairs and conventions a year where I've won Best in Show and Best in Category awards, and try to put out a new illustration project every other year or so. It's important for me to keep busy and to keep pushing my personal boundaries and skills, and the idea of becoming stagnant or stale is one of my biggest fears. Having a large and cohesive, but constantly shifting style and body of work is my goal, and I'm always working on something new.

The Skullgarden Art Shop is run by a two-person team (the cats contribute absolutely nothing) right from our home in Atlanta, GA. I scan, edit, print, trim, and pack every single print that is sold. I mount all of the prints on wood myself. It is a labor of love that we both feel blessed (and a occasionally cursed) to maintain.

+ YOU MUST CONTACT ME BEFORE RETURNING YOUR ITEM. Please, please do not just send the item back then request a refund.

+ I cannot offer refunds for damaged, used, or opened products. I cannot offer refunds on card decks that have been opened.
++ Because the guidebook has to be added to the Pathfinder Oracle deck, this deck is not shrink wrapped like other decks. The Pathfinder Oracle deck is considered opened if the cards have been removed from the plastic slip that holds them together.

+ The cost of returning the item is the buyers responsibility, unless I made a mistake with your order.
I accept Paypal and credit cards via Etsy's direct check out (including Etsy giftcards).
+ PLEASE make sure that your address is correct and verified before checking out. If your order is returned to me or is lost due to a bad address, you MUST repay for shipping to receive your order. If you need to change your address after checking out, I will cancel your order and you must go through the checkout process again. This is to protect both of us in the event that your package is delayed or lost.

+ Please make sure that your address only uses Latin characters. If your address uses any other characters I will not be able to print a shipping label, and I will have to send you an e-mail requesting that you convert your address into Latin characters. To keep this sort of delay from happening, please go ahead and make sure your address is already in Latin characters. If you're not sure what I mean by this, please review this link:

+ If you live outside of the United States, please make sure that your address is a physical street address. I am unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or similar addresses that are outside of the United States. I'm not exactly sure why, they just don't let me do it.

+ I ship all orders using USPS within 1-7 business days of purchase. During the holidays and seasons where I have art festivals or conventions to attend, orders may take up to a FULL WEEK to ship due to order volume and time constraints. It rarely ever takes that long, but please be prepared if you're order is time sensitive.

+ You have two weeks after receiving your purchase to let me know if there's anything missing or wrong with your order (including missing cards from decks). After that I won't be able to replace missing cards. I will replace misprinted cards at any time, however.

+ Shipping costs are kept up to date with the actual cost it takes to get the item to you. The USPS seems to update shipping costs twice a year, but they have also begun to increase shipping prices throughout the winter between Thanksgiving (US) and Christmas. I try to keep up with these costs as they change. If you are ordering multiple things from me, it may be better to contact me directly about a custom listing so I can make sure you are not overcharged on shipping.

+ I include a tracking number for everything I sale. Please refer to this tracking number to track your shipment. This should be sent to you in two forms: notification within Etsy, and a direct automated e-mail sent from my shipping system. If you do not receive a tracking number, the automated notification may be stuck in your junk or spam folder. If you are still unable to find the tracking number, please let me know and I can provide it to you.

+ I CAN NO LONGER BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPMENTS LOST AFTER THE TRACKING INFORMATION HAS DECLARED THE PACKAGE AS DELIVERED. Sorry to yell. This is simply out of my control, and I apologize for the trouble. Once an order has been shipped, the post office will only speak to the recipient of the package about its whereabouts. If it has been more that 3 business days since the tracking has shown the package as being delivered and it still hasn't arrived, it is likely that the package was delivered to a similar address. It's always worth checking with the postal service to see if they know what may have happened to the package.

+ US TRACKING NOTICE: In addition to the comments above, over the last year package tracking within the US has become increasingly unreliable, regardless of delivery service. Almost all major delivery services (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) have begun the practice of marking packages as delivered up to 48 hours prior to the package actually arriving. There have been multiple news articles regarding this, and even places like Amazon warn about this. If your tracking says that your order was delivered, but it isn't in your hands, it is very likely that the package is still on its way.

+ NON US TRACKING NOTICE: Once a package has left the United States, the tracking may stop updating. Almost every time I've seen this occur it's because the package is being processed through a country's customs agency. Customs agencies can cause delays for orders, and on a few occasions I've known buyers that have had to reach out to their local customs agency to get the package moving again. Also, orders are generally handed over to your local postal service once they leave the customs agency. The tracking number should carry over into their tracking system, but not all countries do this and the package may become untraceable until it arrives in your hands. Because of all of these external factors, if your order has "disappeared" on the tracking history, please allow up to 3 weeks from the time the tracking has stopped updating before contacting me via Etsy's message system about the next steps to take.

+ If your package is substantially delayed or the tracking info appears to be wrong, please contact me via Etsy message system and I will look into it for you.
