About Me:
I consider myself an artist and have degrees in both Art and English (because I'm practical). I abandoned the visual arts long ago (though I have always remained in the arts in general) because I thought it would never go anywhere. It wasn't until I started everyday art and crafting that I became a profitable visual artist. I am deeply grateful to all of the people who have made me an artist who works and renewed my faith in the possibilities of the arts and a life dedicated to them.
As far as visual arts, primarily, I am an oil painter and glass artist, but I've never been able to completely just be those things. I like to try my hand at lots of different arts and for years I worked as a musician. I am also a writer (not a successful one, but I have been writing all of my life) and love and believe in the power of words. I love to learn new things and though once I would have told you of my love for travel and how many places I have seen and been, at the current moment, I am tired of being a leaf on the breeze and would like to grow some roots and really become a part of someplace. Though I am not a specialist as far as what I make goes, I have always been an artist and that has both given me all that I have and demanded a lot in exchange. If I knew long ago what it would really cost to devote my life to the fantastic and the impossible, I'd still have done it.
In 2024....
My goal is to eventually figure out the logistics of offering very large oil and glass works (because that's what I like to do most) but I haven't really figured out the shipping/moving issues for things like that. My latest interest is in outdoor art, water art, and illuminated works. If it's not complicated, I guess it's not for me! I do plan to make outdoor works/sculpture/light/water (and always paint and glass) the focus for 2024, but what exactly that is going to mean I am making... we'll see.

Clothes have made me a working artist and they've been great for all these years, but 2023 is the end of clothes for Slashed Paint. Thank you to all who have bought them & appreciated the time and care I put into them! This was a hard decision for me to make, but I believe art is change and movement, so I have to change and move.
