Announcement   Tomorrow's heirlooms lovingly handcrafted today, as a romantic tribute to the past.

I apologize if your looking through my store and there isn't a lot currently listed. I am doing some inventory, photographing a ton of new pieces that I have made, plus a lot of vintage that I just aquired. Plus, I'm taking a critical eye to the past work I've done, now that I have learned so much, prompting me to improve upon my past endeavors or re-make some of the pieces entirely. Please check back regularly for new listings. If there is a piece that you were returning in hopes to purchase and it isn't listed, please send me a conversation message and if I have not started on that piece I will happily sell it to you or I can try to recreate the piece for you. Thank you.

Current Special: Use Code: FreeShip25orMore at checkout and receive free shipping if your cart has over $25 in it. Sorry, this coupon is for US addresses only.

Please always check out the top of this "announcement page" for Specials and Coupons that you may be able to take advantage of. *****Starting May 10, 2017, I can't afford to give free shipping any longer! I apologize if you see an old post, where I had been giving free shipping, such as an old blog, etc., Today, use code: FreeShip25orMore and get free US shipping if you spend more than $25. I will be offering other specials, having more coupon codes for you to use in the future, including International customers. Thank you for understanding...maybe someday I'll actually be making a profit on what I sell and I'll be able to offer better deals, but for now look for specials.

Most of my items are One of a Kinds (OOAK), containing repurposed items that I am giving new life to, or special designs and colors created for just that piece. Many times, different methods of antiquing or chemical and heat processes can result in a different outcome for the same identical piece, therefore no two pieces are ever truly identical.

I love working with many different products to achieve a piece of art that I love and I'm hoping you will too. My work often contains one or more of: Cameos in resin and porcelain; Flowers in Metal, Porcelain, Polymer clay, Resin, carved plastics, and are often hand painted. Metal work using a torch and solder, or wire; Spectra Beads, Czech glass, Swarovski crystals, polymer clay, Ice Enamels, Resin, brass, copper, silver and gold plate/filled, sterling silver, silverware silver, glass beads. even the occasional dog or cat collar. Almost all of my brass stampings and majority of all of my tools and supplies are purchased from my favorite supplier whom offers only the best quality and has a large focus on USA made products. Their brass stampings are made from vintage molds of stampings that stopped being made many, many years ago, and that many of today's suppliers don't offer. These quality new "vintage" stampings are made of rich, low brass (85% copper, 15% zinc) and they also use the best costume jewelry plater in the USA. Their metal finishes are high end, artisan made, and nickel free.

If your looking for vintage pieces, I have a nice selection including Anne Klein, Monet, Coro, Napier, Trifari, NLH, Disney, Liz Claiborne, and more, and even more unsigned pieces. All vintage items are offered as is. If the piece has been repaired or cleaned it will state so in the description for that piece. If the item is listed as a set, I will not break the set up for purchase. It is in your best interest to purchase the entire set that is available, as it will be much more valuable for you in the future. I try very hard to research each piece and learn as much about who made it and when, and then price the piece(s) at a reasonable price. I love sending these pieces to new homes where they will be cherished and passed down within the family. Hopefully you should be able to find something you love at a price you can afford.

Thanks for visiting. Please check back often, since I find some vintage treasures that need permanent homes on a pretty regular basis, plus I am always making new pieces that I hope will be loved and cherished by not only you, but by your family as you pass them down to younger generations.

If you have a coupon or a gift certificate, the code must be put in the coupon code box, as I can not go back and do it later. Also, please only one coupon per order, thank you. To find out about specials and discounts, send me a convo message to join my email VP list.

About

Disabled woman using my "good days" doing something I enjoy & hopefully supplement income.

* stands for listed at the bottom.

I became disabled in 2009. Weighing over 300lbs. and having had tried every diet imaginable, I made the drastic decision to have bariatric surgery in 2008. Unfortunately, I have had multiple complications causing chronic pain, severe weight loss, gall bladder removed and four serious hernias that required more surgeries, vitamin deficiencies, nerve damage, neurological problems, lymphedema, vision problems, and more. To read more about my illness, you can go to my blog.* Since discussing my complications openly in my blogs, I have met many people that have had some or all of the same types of complications and it is bringing to light the side that many of the bariatric surgeons or clinics don't tell you may happen.

In an effort to keep my hands busy, I started making crafts and jewelry on my good days, and helped my daughter with her store.* However, as my knowledge and love for making jewelry and finding vintage jewelry has grown, I have surpassed just helping her and decided it was time to go it alone, so SLG Jewelry Design was born (July 2015). I'm still only able to work on making items on my good days, some days its almost impossible to just get out of bed.

As I grow my store, you will find vintage items that just needed a little cleaning up. There are some vintage pieces that have been repaired, but too nice to let the history be torn apart. Some repurposed pieces that were too damaged and unrepairable have been turned into something new. AND you'll find brand new items that I have made from the constant tornado of ideas that are always floating around in my head. So please look around, and check back often for newly listed items.

Lastly, please check out the top of my announcement page for Specials and Coupons that you may be able to take advantage of. *****Starting May 10, 2017, I can't afford to give free shipping any longer! I'm a wife, mother of 1 adult daughter, 1 dog, & 1 cat. I am disabled, but trying to make some extra money to take a little stress off my husband's shoulders. I love all crafts, but jewelry has become my passion & a reason to get up in the morning.

Jinxy is my baby that loves to help make jewelry. Sorry, did I say help, I meant to say steal anything she can grab and run with, chew on plastic bags, or just manage to be in my way so I have to stop what I am doing and give her 100% of my attention.
