OMG! Kate did an amazing job on my blog. Simply amazing. Go check it out at http://thoughtfuleating.blogspot.com She was so patient with me and willing to try different things to get it perfect. The result was more than I could have imagined.
Products that promote kindness
The world could use a little more kindness, right? With each purchase from The Kindness Shop you will receive two cards with suggestions for daily random acts of kindness -- one to keep and one to give away. And $1 from each sale will be donated to Random Acts, a charity which promotes and helps fund random acts of kindness.
This year I decided to make it my goal to spread kindness as much as humanly possible. I honestly believe that the world would be a much better place if we all just treated each other with kindness and respect. My hope with this shop is that people will use the products to pass along the message. My personal favorites are the compliment brooches. I love the idea that whoever reads your brooch will get a little pick-me-up. I find that most modern clothing & jewelry with messages emblazoned on them tend to be mean or self-centered. Rather than proudly proclaiming that "you can't sit at our table" (I know it's a Mean Girls reference, but come on -- the movie was not glorifying that kind of thing. Didn't anyone get it??) be the person with the brooch that invites someone to join you instead. Not to sound cult-like (although having my own cult might be totally cool) but we need to foster a sense of inclusiveness, not cliquishness.
Basically, I just want everyone to get along and be nice to each other and hopefully you do too. If you think a brooch or a magnet might help in that area, then you've definitely come to the right place.
I illustrated, created, assembled, photographed and listed everything in the shop. And if you make a purchase, I'll package and mail it too! :)
Accepted payment methods
Hopefully this next bit will be for naught, but let's just make a promise right here and now that if any problems should arise between you clicking "Place Order" and my package safely arriving in your mailbox, all correspondence will be ridiculously, overwhelmingly friendly. There should be happy faces, exclamation marks, jovial greetings and niceties galore! This is, after all, The Kindness Shop, so kindness should be simply oozing everywhere :)
