The back story

I grew up in New York and Virginia and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York and Trinity College in Connecticut. I moved to Michigan in the fall of 2008 because my husband is from here and quickly fell in love with the place. It is here that my illustrative life truly began. I discovered an overwhelmingly active and supportive creative community—much of which I found through connections on Etsy. Hooray!

Now I travel the craft show circuit, sell here on Etsy and have my work stocked in over a dozen stores across the U.S. A playful sense of humor runs throughout my drawings and nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing people laugh after taking in my imagery. My daily rhythms are fueled by bottomless cups of coffee, towering stacks of books and ginger-filled dreams of savory and sweet.

I love meeting my online customers in person, so come say hello if I'm at a craft show near you! My show schedule is frequently updated on my blog and web site linked just over there to your right.
