It joins my first purchase, a fun Summer pendant made from a '60s coffee mug in yellow, orange, green and pink. Nothing compares to Smashgirl's work! She is an artist! About smashgirl
Nature is my Happy Place
I am happiest when I am in my studio creating my next piece of artwork. Music in my ears...could be anything from the latest hit song to some 70's funk. Many of my pieces start from a memory of a beautiful spot like the beaches of California where I grew up. Now living in Phoenix, Arizona the desert has become my muse. My latest work has me taking photos with my Instamax camera and recreating the image in a mini painting. It brings back memories of having my first Polaroid when I was 12 years old and taking photos of whatever caught my eye.
Smashgirl started out as my alter ego after a heartbreaking divorce . I started smashing things then turning the broken pieces into mosaic art and jewelry. It was my therapy and helped me get past the pain and start anew.
I have fully evolved as an artist and find that I don't need to smash anything to feel better. (I haven't given up mosaics I just don't have the anger that went along with it!) I'm in a happy place. During the lockdown is when I started my digital illustrations and found that technology can be a wonderful way to express yourself in art.

To begin the process please send me a message with your vision...theme, colors, size, etc. I will work with you to create something special and truly unique. Custom mosaic pendants make wonderful gifts for weddings, bridal showers, graduations, birthdays and holidays. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your custom order.
