My favourite hobby is ripping back stitches.

Hello, welcome to my shop! I hope you enjoy handcrafted items as much as I do making them.

Growing up in rural Estonia, I learned to appreciate traditional handicrafts and the nature around me from an early age. My mother was fond of knitting and handicrafts in general, so I inherited her love of making things by hand and especially traditional patterns.

In my free time, I like to research my family tree, take photos in the nature and gather different herbs and mushrooms that can be used in food, for tea or even for dyeing yarn. Knitting, crocheting and embroidery of course play an important role in my list of hobbies. Be it a crosstiched pattern, crocheted lace or knitted mittens, shawls or cardigans, no pattern is too tricky to try out. Challenges make things fun and ripping back mistaken stitches seems to be my favourite hobby of all.

I draw my inspiration mainly from traditional patterns around different areas in Estonia, but neighbouring countries interest me as well, especially Latvia. My childhood was strongly connected to our southern neighbour, so I love finding similarities and differences between our national patterns. Our history is so rich in handicrafts that it would be a shame to let these treaures be forgotten. They should be appreciated and worn with pride.
