I offer beautiful thread and yarn to use for crocheting, knitting or whatever creative outlet you can think of.

I dye my crochet thread as a hobby to have unique colorways for my own personal projects. The process is such that I am able to share these with others who have a desire for unique thread and yarn for their projects. I am not a professional dyer by any stretch of the imagination, just a dabbler, so the results are not always what I envisioned, but are always suprisingly delightful!

I occasionally venture into dyeing wool as well. This is mainly sock yarn, but I have been know to dye some DK weight in the past. When I have some available, I will list it. I figure if I am going to get everything out to dye one skein, I may as well dye a bunch and make it worth my time.

My Gradient cotton yarn is not hand-dyed, rather the base yarn comes to me already dyed and I tie them together to create a gradient effect. It is a wonderful alternative for those who have sensitivity to animal fibers.

Additional policies and FAQs
If you have any questions about my shop or items, please contact me. I am happy to send out 3-yard samples upon request if you would like to see certain colors or thread types before you purchase.

I do accept requests/suggestions for custom colorways. Please understand however, that I am not a professional dyer, my results vary (and I don't always know why) and it is very, very difficult to make exact color matches. I enjoy experimenting, I enjoy working with others to create beautiful color combos. As long as you don't need something quickly (I work full time and dyeing is a hobby I squeeze in when I can find some "me time") and you have a sense of humor...I am pretty easy to work with.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Many people ask if a 3-ply color can be made into a 4-ply color (and vice versa). The answer is: sort of...
The cotton used in the 2-ply and 3-ply Gradients is different than the cotton used in the 4-ply Gradients, so the colors are also different. I can try to make a similar 4-ply colorway to a 3-ply colorway I have offered, but it will not be exact.
The other option is to make a 4-ply using 3-ply colors. This makes almost a heavy fingering or sport weight yarn. Similarly, making a 3-ply out of 4-ply colors will be more of a lace/light fingering weight. There is a cost difference when doing this, and I can work with you to let you know what the price will be before we move forward with your custom order.

Care instructions

For your finished piece, I recommend a light soaking in a gentle detergent or soak made especially for delicate items. Items can be blocked.
As with any fiber, it is important to test if you are concerned with the color bleeding after you make your item. Test a small swatch and see how it reacts.
Red and darker colors are always at risk for bleeding, so I encourage you to test any fiber I sell if this is a concern.

Available Colors

4-PLY COLOR AVAILABILITY: These will vary and once a color is gone, it can not be reordered. It is especially important to order enough of a 4-ply colorway if you have a project in mind. You can order solids of the colors used in a color way to extend the solid portions if you would like. Even common colors like black that can be reordered, may differ, depending on the manufacturer. There is not a vendor that I have found that offers a consistent inventory of colors in the weight used for the 4-ply Gradient colorways.

Available Colors

2-PLY & 3-PLY COLOR AVAILABILITY: 2-ply and 3-ply gradient colors can be duplicated. I am able to reorder the colors I have available, unless they are discontinued by the manufacturer.
