Sola flowers are made of the soft outer bark of a tapioca plant. They can last forever with proper care!

Sola wood is not water resistant and can lose shape if wet. The flowers should not be kept in high humidity environments (near showers, etc). If flowers are accidentally smushed or bent, message me for help on reshaping!

Avoid displaying dyed flowers in direct sunlight as the colors may fade with time.

Dust lightly with a soft duster. If using canned compressed air, make sure to hold the can far enough from the arrangement that it doesn't damage the flowers!

Please do not store your sola flowers in a closed air environment (plastic bags or bins, etc.) Because they are a natural product, they can develop mold in closed containers.

Large orders may be shipped in multiple boxes to save on shipping costs.

Shipping will be insured, but we recognize that damages can happen. Please contact me if your item arrives damaged so we can try to help!

There may be a surcharge for increased shipping costs on time sensitive items. We are not responsible for shipping delays resulting in items being received after the wedding date!

Sola flowers are made from the soft outer wood of a tapioca tree. Some of them are made from just the inner wood, and some still have parts of the bark on the flower. It is a very soft wood that becomes very pliable when wet. Because it is a natural material, some flowers may have brown spots or other imperfections. Dry sola wood is fragile (some flowers more so than others) and has a texture that reminds some people of styrofoam. Luckily, many flowers that may be crushed or bent can be easily reshaped with a spritz of warm water.
Many of our flowers are ordered premade to save time and are then dyed and assembled into the beautiful arrangements you see on our sites. I do make some of the less common flowers here in house.

Sola is eco-friendly, but what about the rest? We try to make our products as 'green' as possible. Because of this, we do not use silk or plastic greenery in our flower arrangements. This sometimes limits our filler selection, but really accentuates the natural beauty of your flowers!
Dye - All flowers are dyed with low VOC acrylics.
Glue - We use hot glue sticks that are low VOC and free of petrochemicals.
Stems - All stems are either bamboo or cloth wrapped wire.
Other materials - We use repurposed wood whenever possible, as well as glass containers and upcycled materials from thrift shops, etc. Book pages are taken from otherwise unusable books. We try to minimize the use of foam and other less eco friendly materials as much as possible.

We only use all natural preserved greenery in our bouquets and arrangements. Because eucalyptus and other types of greenery change shape in different seasons, the greenery used in bouquets may not look the same as stock photos. Depending on when the greenery is harvested, leaves may be rounder or more elongated, seeds may be smaller, larger, or more or less numerous, etc.
Preserved greenery may bleed color in very high humidity. Please take caution to avoid stains.

Dried (not preserved) floral accents and fillers such as pampas grass, baby's breath, dusty miller, etc. may be more fragile and less long lasting than preserved greenery materials. Please take extra care with these accents to avoid excessive breakage.
Pampas grasses and some other dried accents may shed!
